No, because if I had cooked it as long as she said it would have burnt and then I would have had to eat the doughnut.

hellsbelles · 22/01/2010 14:26

thanks Mitts will try now.

hellsbelles · 22/01/2010 14:33

blimey - that was easy - I was imagining it would be tricky for some reason! Nice to be back as myself though

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 22/01/2010 14:36

I have just spoken to a very very posh receptionist at a perspective primary schol

hellsbelles · 22/01/2010 14:39

chaos - people do posh telephone voices all the time - especially those who have 'very very' posh voices! Bet she's not posh at all really

jetcatisfrozen · 22/01/2010 14:40

DEM - did you put on your best posh accent as well

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 22/01/2010 14:47

Yep, have to leave about 4.30am to get there for 9.30am though -but it sounds a rather interesting school. it will just depend on wether it is the best one for Ds. I have decided to move and am actively looking for schools for him. Its is mostly best for both of us so that is the plan.

NormaSknockers · 22/01/2010 15:04

Not having a good day Still at least the worry is making me feel to sicky to eat - silver lining & all that!

wastingaway · 22/01/2010 15:09

Afternoon everyone!

Had a fabulous time at softplay.
Got proper sweaty chasing DS about and jumping in the ballpool. I did get stuck on one of the slides but hauled myself down somehow.

DEM, you decided to go for the move, hope the school is good.

Can someone set up a live webchat thing to connect me to the meet-up please?

hellsbelles · 22/01/2010 15:23

words I never thought I'd see in the same sentance 'fabulous' and 'softplay'

Glad you had a good time Wasting. Can DD borrow you? I'm rubbish at softplay - what with my bad back and all! (I know I sound about 95!)

wastingaway · 22/01/2010 15:25

Hells, it was my first time there, might get fed up after a few goes.

NormaSknockers · 22/01/2010 15:28

hells - I'm the same, have a bad back too so the most the DC get out of me at softplay is getting up to buy a cuppa Well that & sitting in the ball pool hiding and scaring anyone who jumps in chucking balls!

hellsbelles · 22/01/2010 15:31
Grin
WhereChaosTheoryRules · 22/01/2010 16:10

Hang isnt that the joy of soft play/play centres - chuck them in and distance parent with the luxary of coffee I am not great at getting involved.
I am ready for bed. have had a manic afternoon and ds was late so i was late to bed last night. do you thing that anyone would mind if i pretend ds is still at school and have a kip?

Actually that is not going to be possible ds has a tv ban and play seems to be loud and noisy. tempting though

Hello!

.....

MitsubishiWarrioress · 22/01/2010 16:24

You've lost loads of weight and are slimmer of the week?

TrillianAstra · 22/01/2010 16:26

Err, you've found out that you're busy in June and so we'll be meeting up without our leader?

Penguin man has come back?

Jonny has proposed and you were so dazzled by the size of the ring that you accidentally said yes?

Teddy has learned to ?

Shiney that's brilliant - well done you

MitsubishiWarrioress · 22/01/2010 16:42

mwah ha........

That is FAB shiney, really great. You must be mega chuffed with yourself...

..and I was really pleased you got some Ugg boots again. I considered doing a secret whip round to fund some more for you but wouldn't have been able to contribute myself really so figured it was a non starter.

bellavita · 22/01/2010 16:57

Hello my lovelies.

Way hey Shiney, well done you !!

My friend has been, cake has been chosen that she wants me to do for her parents golden wedding do (thankfully she wanted something simple) and I have got until the 30th April.

Going to do a ww recipe tonight - whole wheat penne with aubergine and cherry toms. I am bloody starving.

Lizzylou · 22/01/2010 17:02

Evening all, back home now, having a brew then have to tidy up.

Went into a lovely shoe shop in town and would you know it, ended up walking out with a half-price Orla Kiely bag
So not me, my holiday clothes fund has now been raided and I only went in to kill some time before having to pick up DS1.

Am now worried that I will look daft carrying it.

Shiney YAY for you, 6lbs is fab, looks like WW is doing it's stuff for you.

Off to hoover before Escape to the Country, the bliss of a peaceful house!
