Well done Georgi. I am on the G&T, but diet T. Need to think of something to eat for dinner really.

Georgimama · 21/01/2010 20:11

£44! Bargaintastic - less than two weeks' payments from crappy ripoffland!!

Alicetheinvisible · 21/01/2010 20:11

DH is pissing me off! He has been doing everything round the house atm with me suffering with ms and exhaustion (slowly getting better) which i really really appreciate, but he gets really arsy with me and DD if we get anything out, or ask a question or try to talk to him. Would rather have a messy house than a DH who i can't speak to

Sorry, as you were, just needed to moan

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 20:12

well done on resisting Georgi, and fingers crossed Trills

am setting up a thread on property to stop hijacking this one with my furnishings dramas so maybe if one or two could pop over, just in case no-one else bothers

Georgimama · 21/01/2010 20:15

I've got beef casserole (which DH threw together while I put DS to bed before he went out for a meeting) bubbling away in the oven, nearly ready. Yum.

Potato dauphoinse is diet food, right? Actually it doesn't seem to breech any of the central tenants of "no s" that I can see...

Alice, amazing how they turn into Martha Stewart/Delia Smith's lovechild if they so much as use the hoover once. Fret not - ignore ignore ignore.

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 20:15

Georgi, take heart, slow and steady wins the race. Can you fit in any exercise at all (says me, who has been distinctly lazy in 2010)?

Georgimama · 21/01/2010 20:19

Oi jet, come back with the soft furnishings! I didn't mean stop posting about it, numpty!

NormaSknockers · 21/01/2010 20:21

Sorry DH pinched the laptop. Lizzy no way round it from the looks of it He's in a rather tiny rural station so for 99% of the time it's just him on duty

Georgimama · 21/01/2010 20:21

Exercise - I did take up running (ha!) in the autumn but the snow, ice and very dark mornings put a stop to that. I suppose I should join a gym but the idea makes me dry heave. I hate swimming. Why do all slimming mags bang on about swimming? What kind of loon recommends encasing oneself in lycra to fatties?

NormaSknockers · 21/01/2010 20:25

Oh actually Lizzy question for you, I haven't been running in weeks due to crappy weather but back out there tomorrow so should I just try & do what was i up to (20 mins) or should I ease back into it this first week?

bellavita · 21/01/2010 20:25

You are soooo funny Lizzy, you always make me laugh with your comments

Georgi - it will happen, it takes its time with me too.

I have just been invited to a high school reunion on the 8th October.

TrillianAstra · 21/01/2010 20:26

Swimming is good cos it's low-impact, your weight is supported by the water so you're less likely ot hurt your joints. I don't think they think so hard about the swimming costume thing. Get a swimming cap and smoe goggles and it's like you are in disguise anyway.

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 20:29

NOrma, just start off steady and see how you go? If you need to stop/slow down, do it, don't feel bad.

I am sooo darn god at giving out advice willy nilly.

Whilst sat on my big fat ass

What shall I have for dinner? If DP were here I'd be making something proper but it's hard to feel bothered when it's just me.

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 20:39

Sazz, I don't have a credit card, so if you could book it and I could pay you when we get there that would be fab?

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 20:49

on which thread should i ask Sazz?

Bloomin school Just had 20 mins of junior crying and wailing saying that she cant do her work and is falling behind, while her teachers are just shouting at her for not participating enough

Have sent her off to write a note for a teacher, and will make an appointment myself tomorrow. I hate seeing her so upset I totally feel like pulling her out of school and home edding - but not sure i would have the patience
