I love you ShowOfHands, your name is fab, you give mad good advice, can I sit on your lap?

The 12th is fine for me but I don't want to end up as Johny no mates in a hotel by myself so if someone picks a reasonably priced hotel can I book the same?

BoF..I hope you are feeling better, all that exertion doing the room must have worn you down.

Norma, if you book tickets now won't they be substantially cheaper with one of those find a rail fare deal site thingies (technical term!)

I am illing also, I have a cold. A BAD one. But I filed my tax return so I don't care.
Hello to all the thread luscious lovelies....

TrillianAstra · 21/01/2010 07:44

Sorry DIB, have masses to do at work (boss hass a hairbrained scheme) so can't be chief googler. I'm sure you guys will find something, it's the agreeing and organising that's gonna be difficult. We'd probably do better if we could book in bulk, but that would mean one person paying for all the rooms and trusting that everyone else will give them the money, and everyone trusting that that one person has really booked them and not just run off with the cash.

FabIsGoingToBeFabIn2010 · 21/01/2010 08:20

Not surprisingly I put on the 3lbs I lost but as that seems to be 2lbs on in 2 days I am a bit dubious. I did eat a few chocolates the last few days so they were gone, but having read some fab tips on the Woman & Home website I am going to throw away the rest.

I made the kids a smoothie for their pudding last night and had some this morning, only managed 4 mouthfuls, did my teeth and was blergh. Great.

Just had a cereal bar as I will be out half the morning and I don't want to be feeling more away with the fairies than I normally are.

Good luck to everyone else for the day.

TrillianAstra · 21/01/2010 08:25

Today I will be mostly eating my graze box (thanks Vinny!). Oh, and a yoghurt for breakfast. It wasn't Total though.

VinegarTits · 21/01/2010 08:25

Good morning!

Seems like everyone has got my cold the good news is, i feel fine today

got to go to a meeting now so will smell you later

hmm nice thread title

TrillianAstra · 21/01/2010 08:31

Glad you're feeling better Vinny.

hellsbelles · 21/01/2010 08:40

Morning all. I'm feeling shite today. I had maybe two glasses of wine but feel like I've had a bottle of vodka? And I fell off the dieting wagon quite amazingly and feel bloated and fat (dare not weigh myself).

DH is moaning and feeling poorly. As is DD (I blame you Vinny )

DreamsInBinary · 21/01/2010 08:51

Morning all

Glad you're better Vinny, and sorry to all those who were virtually infected.

Does anyone have any opinions on the hotels listed? The Radisson looks like a good deal, but if someone finds something better/cheaper/closer/more luxurious then I'm happy to go along. A number of places seem to have January deals, so we'll probably need to book this month to get the best price.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 21/01/2010 09:16

I thought the Raddison looked nice....

I am blaming Vinny for my illing as well hells... that girl has got a LOT to answer for .

I have NEVER been out on a girls night out, so please be gentle with me.

Lots to do. So copious amounts of over the counter drugs fluids today.

DreamsInBinary · 21/01/2010 09:24

Never, Mitts

We will show you the way

I just know that Shiney will be up for printed t-shirts, pink cowboy hats and amusingly shaped straws/chocolates/headwear.

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 09:28

I once saw a Hen Party in Blackpool, they'd made the Bride to be wear a hat with a HUGE papier mache cock on it.

Am thinking Shiney would look good in the trendy Manchester wine bars with such a hat

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 09:38

glad you're feeling better Vinny

Fab - i normally just get weighed once every 4 weeks, as like you, i can go up and down like a yo yo in a matter of hours days

The Raddison does look nice, and i agree with Trills, if we are def doing this, we need to start confirming the arrangements. I would offer to be in charge but i cant book the hotel as i dont have a credit card. I do think we need to book up before the end of January though. Train tickets cant be booked until March, so at least if we pay for hotel now, it spreads the cost out a little?

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 09:49

actually, i feel the need to at least pretend to be in charge so, can we do a list of who is definitely coming, which hotel they prefer, whether a single room or sharing, and if sharing, who they are sharing with. That should make it easier to sort out how many rooms we need.

bellavita · 21/01/2010 10:04

Care to join us Southeastastra?

bellavita · 21/01/2010 10:06

Glad you are feeling better Vinny

Usually, what happens when you make a hotel reservation is that they ask for credit card details to be held on file only (they do not take the money until you have actually stayed) and with the majority of hotels, you can cancel up to 2.00pm on the actual day without any losses.

YanknCock · 21/01/2010 10:12

Sometimes I do think this site needs a catbumface emoticon.

Oooh, I've had a post deleted! Lookee mee! All I did was correct the poster's spelling of 'irksome' and told her to fuck off.

Meeting Sazzles for lunch today in Manc, have actually blow dried my hair so as not to look as slovenly as normal. I draw the line at putting on makeup though.

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 10:15

So noone is going to volunteer to make a Papier Mache COCK for Shiney then?

Ah well.....

I don't have a Credit card, DH would be white with fear, could we Paypal whoever does have one first?

I am happy to go with the majority, as long as the price isn't too much!

Glad you're feeling better VInny, sorry that you feel rough Hells!

Lizzylou · 21/01/2010 10:16

Sorry for capitals on the word COCK, was having a rebellious teen moment

I could bold it as well......

COCK

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 10:17

thanks for that Bella

I have checked the raddison website, and you can book a number of rooms online, but no group discount

Enjoy your lunch Yank n Sazz and which thread is that then Yank?

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 10:19

i could set a paypal up, if someone talked me though it, or i could send a cheque?

Are we sharing still, or now that it is cheaper, going for single rooms?

((sorry, i do tend to panic if i dont know all the details so i can prepare myself

jetcatisfrozen · 21/01/2010 10:20

Lizzy, you are a card

YanknCock · 21/01/2010 10:21

Manc is too close for me to justify a hotel, but I will definitely be there for a pissup. Also, to repeat the offer, there is a spare room at Chez Yank, and I'm happy to pick up/drop off at Manc Piccadilly.

Told DH last night and he said 'you're inviting some crazy drunk woman to stay over?' Yes, yes I am :-) He owes me big for the last time I had to pick him up in central Manchester at 1am because he'd gotten quite pissed and missed his train.

YanknCock · 21/01/2010 10:23

on AIBU, alcohol in pregnancy. I probably had two drinks total while pregnant--apparently this makes me low class .
