mycat - not had that problem before

DEM - thanks so much, i did have a quick google, and it is a little clearer. You are right with the exercises, the OT did mention she would prepare some for junior. Also google informs me that it is a common symptom of dyspraxia (which she def has) and aspergers (which she is still being assessed for).

I am sooooo relieved that it was not just me who was worried about the cost (errm, not sure that actually came out right) You lot all seem so sophisticated compared to me

YanknCock · 20/01/2010 21:16

jetcat, not to worry, I am a Yank, so the very epitome of unsophisticatedness. I live in my jeans, trainers and breastfeeding tops. I barely comb my hair, and I currently don't wear makeup.

Last night I tried putting on some of the posh moisturiser I got about two years ago, and DH told me I smelled like 'coal tar shampoo'. It was Decleor Ylang Ylang or some nonsense--he should be able to smell how expensive it was!

NormaSknockers · 20/01/2010 21:20

Fab thanks Yank, not that I can remember how to find the recipe section!

Well, I googled it and basically the site owners only pay for limited bandwith and until someone else gets off the site and it clears up, I wont be able to get back on. Cheapstakes need to pay for more bandwith from their hosting company.

jetcat - I am NOT sophisticated in any way, shape or form, just ask Sazzles. I was worried about the cost but thought I'd splash out, but can't flaming make it now anyway (still considering leaving devon early just to make it!)

YanknCock · 20/01/2010 21:22

Bugger it, I can't find the recipes thread, so here's the lamb & mint burgers:

  1. Fry 1 chopped onion and 1 crushed clove of garlic in low fat cooking spray until soft (7-10 min)
  1. Mix garlic/onion with 500g lean lamb mince, 2 TBSP fresh chopped mint, and salt/pepper to taste.
  1. Form into 4 patties, fry in low fat cooking spray.
  1. While those are cooking, make the mint relish by combining 2 thinly sliced spring onions, 4cm piece cucumer (diced), 2 TBSP fresh chopped mint, 1 cored/diced apple and 2 TSP lemon juice.

They suggest serving burgers wrapped in lettuce leaves with a tomato slice on top, plus the mint relish. I make the relish, but don't bother with the lettuce/tomato. 5.5 points per serving.

NormaSknockers · 20/01/2010 21:26

I'm so far from sophisticated I'm a bit concerned about the cost as the train ticket is going to seriously bump it up so you;re not alone

NormaSknockers · 20/01/2010 21:27

Lovely thanks Yank Have C&Pd!

traceybath · 20/01/2010 21:32

Cat - I think the phase 8 dress will be fab and if not - well there's always the viv .

Mamazon - I find having a motivational item of clothing very good on the losing weight front.

Haven't eaten much today - been too busy dealing with ds2's tantrums. He has gone from being the most laidback toddler to the most stubborn - quite funny really. Had them all in bed by 6.30pm again - mean mummy.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 20/01/2010 21:37

tracey - I am ordering it tomorrow (can't be arsed to go upstairs and get my credit card right now!)

I'm off to bed now . I'm bloody knackered and DH is watching relocation relocation and sometimes I just want to slap kirsty.

NormaSknockers · 20/01/2010 21:39

tracey, the DC are both usually in bed by 6-7, DS becomes a gumpy bum if he goes to bed much past 6! I'm mean aren't I?!

ShowOfHands · 20/01/2010 21:41

Shouldn't I be in bed?

But I neeeeeeeeeed wee. And a boooook. Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee.

My 2yr old is still up and singing Carly Simon's You're So Vain. She's the incredible non-sleeping child.

Now not losing weight VT. I know why. It's because muscle weighs more than fat you see. All that tin whistle playing and linking of ageing dj's cocks had had the benefit of burning calories and toning up muscle. So the fat has disappeared under a toned yet still feminine layer of functional muscle. Well done. Have a cake.

To go with my be poor and eat potatoes tip from earlier, I have another one (I feel like an unworthy interloper so am offering diet tips in compensation). It's proven scientific fact, men in white coats say it's so, that thinking of exercising and losing weight burns more calories than if you were sitting around thinking about, say, Damian Lewis' piercing blue gaze and warm, firm yet insistent hands as he pressed into... um, I've completely forgotten what I was saying.

Villa! Villa! DH in a good mood now.

I've done bugger all, all day.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 20/01/2010 21:51

Sazzles - It made a change from my DD & DS spreading it everywhere (and nice that your DD2 and my DS bonded over a bag of organic carrot stick crisps ). Just told DH about the your DD1 wanting a toilet like ours, he has a little proud look about him now

Right, I'm off to bed NOW.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 20/01/2010 22:01

I think ds is in bed, and heading towards sleep. I would love ds to have an early bed time all the time but when he is off the meds he doesnt sleep and it ends up a battle. much better to just let him play nicely instead. I am not far off bed, but need to find a phone or clock so can set an alarm for tomo. Being poorly sucks.

NormaSknockers · 20/01/2010 22:03

SOH

bellavita · 20/01/2010 22:10

Am back >

at vanilla slice thingies though Chaos.

Had a lovely meal, I left a third of it. It was a huge portion, but I felt full but not overly. No dessert. I had a spritzer. Not sure how many points the meal had, but tomorrow I am having the wholesome cous cous thing again for lunch and it is only 2.5 points and I may just have the other portion for tea with a couple of slices of ham, so hopefully I shall be back within pointage.

We are all still going aren't we though on the 12th?

DreamsInBinary · 20/01/2010 22:34

Yes, yes, yes Bella. At least, I hope so.

There are loads of hotel in Manchester to choose from, although I think we should do do asap. Will link in a bit.

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 20/01/2010 22:38

did you have a nice time DIB?

DreamsInBinary · 20/01/2010 22:57

MacDonald Hotel - £70 for twin room advance booking - nice hotel with spa etc, not sure about location, although close to train station

Radisson, five star, £81 for deluxe room (twin) but non-refundable. £90 for deluxe room with cancellation possible

Novotel, 3 star with gym etc, £70 non-refundable

Premier Inn, £63

Fuck, this is going to take ages!

DreamsInBinary · 20/01/2010 22:59

I did, DEM! Although I was hoping for faded glamour a la Blackpool, or trashy glitz a la Las Vegas. It was chavvy inner-city Cardiff - harsh lighting and old people eating roaast dinner for £2.95.

And I didn't win. I can't bear playing games I don't win

DreamsInBinary · 20/01/2010 23:03

Radisson look v nice, although I think the offer is limited.

I can't face any more trawing tonight. Anyone know of any good hotels in Manc?

YanknCock · 20/01/2010 23:05

Right, am off to bed. Am bored with smug cow on another thread.

BOF, have sent you message on FB.
