Mmm, yoghurt. I think it may finally be time for me to buy some yoghurt after the Total-fest. I liked their ones with the little pot of honey...

traceybath · 10/01/2010 11:15

Morning all.

I need to lose about half a stone so not too much but seemingly very hard to lose. Oh and am bf a 5 month old so can't be to extreme which is my inclination.

Snowing here.

wastingaway · 10/01/2010 11:18

Hello, I'm wasting and need to lose at least 7 stone, and get fit.

Well I lost 4 lbs first week doing No S. It made me want to eat veg and I haven't snacked as much as usual this weekend.

Shovelglove is for men who don' scrub floors and lug big toddlers around I reckon. Simulates manual labour.

FlamingoBingo · 10/01/2010 11:19

Where's mitts? Is she ok?

FlamingoBingo · 10/01/2010 11:23

4lb, Wasting???? Well done you!

Shovelglove sounds awful! I'd much rather go for a walk or play badminton or even do a fitness DVD. Well ... if truth be told I'd much rather sit on my tush and do no exercise ... But I definitely won't be 'simulating manual labour'! As wasting says, I do enough of that just lugging my 17 month around and keeping my shithole house clean!

MrsSawdust · 10/01/2010 11:32

Ooh free yoghurt? How did you swing that? I luuurve Total yoghurt too.

Alicetheinvisible · 10/01/2010 11:33

Mamazon - La Senza bras come up small. I am a 32F in 'proper' bra brands (by proper i mean bloody expensive, slightly less pretty and a bit grown up looking with wide straps ) I can't fit into their 34f's and their 36 are just the wrong shape. Love their pj's though. i got 2 pairs of medium when 9months pg last time and they fit ok. You could always use some of the vouchers for buying birthday/christmas presents with if you have too many pairs of pants

Wasting - well done! That is good, what are the rules for it?

Mamazon · 10/01/2010 11:35

shovelglove?

sounds like something they'd sell in the shop down the road with the blacked out windows

wastingaway · 10/01/2010 11:40

No snacks, no sweets and no seconds except (sometimes) on dais that start with an S.

It being Sundai, I'm off out to the pub. :-D

VinegarTits · 10/01/2010 11:40

Hello i'm Vinny and according to my wii fit, i need to loose 1.4 stone

Shovelglove workout

VinegarTits · 10/01/2010 11:42

ds2 work up at 8am, so i have lounged on the couch since then unable to move (soooo tired) while he has trashed my house, i cannot see the floor for mega blocks

Georgimama · 10/01/2010 11:45

To be fair Shiney the new comers seem to like the cock chat.

I am Georgimama and have been taking over on this thread for a week, during which time I have lost 5 pounds. Woo hoo!

Unfortunately I need to lose about another 35. Oh well.

I'm on no S and it is doing me the world of good. Have also given up alcohol in the week as I am frankly a bit of a dipso, although seeing by the ease with which I have cut down I think my drinking is habit rather than addiction.

There's an idea, I might use DS as a shovelglove instead. He loves rough and tumble, I can just do that for 14 minutes a day. He might vomit of course....

TrillianAstra · 10/01/2010 11:55

I maned 90 seconds of plank, and have done 40 stomach crunches (as in mini sit-ups). Think I could do more of the curnches but nearly fell down and cried with that much plank - it is hard.

Wasting you sound nearly back to normal... or have you just figured out which words you can type with the letters that work?

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 10/01/2010 12:01

morning ladies

DS IS FINALLY HOUSE TRAINED!!!!! He didnt wake me up until 11am flipping marvelous. Goodness knows what time he got up at but when i saw him he was dressed, had had breakfast, and the house hasnt been destroyed.

Hi I'm DEM, i wear many coats and guises but generally go back to the same name eventually.
I have about 15kg to loose. I intend to attack this in many ways and my diet plant of attack is

  1. the duvet diet
  2. No -s
  3. The lord ford.

Last year i managed to get to the bottom of the emotional issues with food so now the plan of attack is the lack of sleep (duvet) and the eating out of habbit (no-s) and then portion size and quality of food (the lord). All of these diets can be done together so will be doing this as i get there.

My plan is to shift this weight before easter. I have many other plans of actions and a few other mn homes so can bore you if i forget which one i am on.

What's the duvet diet?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 10/01/2010 12:06

So of your lie in DEM.

Mamazon · 10/01/2010 12:06

plank?? i really am out of the skinny person exercise talk.

knowing my luck i'd swing this shovelglove thing round and smash a window...or one of the dc's.

VinegarTits · 10/01/2010 12:08

i love iSketch, we should all go on it and have a competition, bet i would win

VinegarTits · 10/01/2010 12:09

And i would likt to know what the duvet diet is too, i think i have been doing it already this week, is it where you eat all your meals sat under the duvet on the sofa?

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 10/01/2010 12:11

the duvet diet is about dealing with eating and overweight issues due to lack of sleep. It goes through the reasons (biochemically) about why you put on weight when you are having sleep issues and then goes through tactics for sorting them out. It made a huge difference to me but then when ds was little (until this year) we were getting 6 hours sleep per night in 2hour bursts. Now ds has his sleep meds and sleeps closer to 10hrs/night in mostly one or teo chunks it will help get me back on track to normal sleep habbits.
