i dont weigh myself either. can't be arsed going to the weigh bridge.

that pic is seriously disturbing. for some reason my eyes went straight to his crotch and that is deeply troubling

BitOfFun · 10/01/2010 00:38

That is the point though, Mamazon. It just indicates a healthy appetite. Which is a problem we all have on this thread...

Morning

Just wanted to mark my place on the new thread.

Hope everyone is well/behaving/not behaving etc

I am going to be trying to drink more water (not Orangina!) and stop eating biscuits and crisps just because they are there. Have decided that i want brown bread all of a sudden, so will eat brown toast with honey on for an afternoon snack instead of tea and packet handful of biscuits.

Hello - I'm joining this thread for first time. I need to shift a lot of few pounds and want to do it without ridiculus crash dieting.

Has anyone tried the no s diet? It's basically no snacks, no sweets and no seconds, except on days that begin with letter s. I've been doing it for a week and lost half a pound. Not a spectacular loss I know, but it supposedly leads to a healthier attitude to eating (eg treats aren't for every day) and a framework for slow weight loss, which should be more sustainable in the long run. I'm giving it to the end if January to see if it suits me.

What's other people's strategies?

MrsSawdust · 10/01/2010 10:20

Mamazon - I tried to get a bra in la senza and discovered they don't go over size 38. (I was 40C at the time ) But agree that they have lovely pjs.

ninah · 10/01/2010 10:39

the S diet would be fatal for me I would simply roll out of the house of a Monday
I have skipped breakfast ... last night's combo of mini cheddars and gerontophilia clean took away my appetite

FiveGoMadInDorset · 10/01/2010 10:41

Hello

I am Five also know as Fanny. I have a huge amoung of weight to go but feeling positive. I am either feast or famine with my posting.

So how is everyone.

The temp is finally abouve freezing here and getting warmer for the week. The lovely people who did our work surfaces want to photograph them and the kitchen for their brochure/website, so need to finsih the tiling and a lovely friend has said she would make my blinds and curtains as I was in shock having been quoted £1100 for 8 not ver big windows.

and the bookings are coming in already so hopefully will be a good summer for us.

The sleep clinic is booked for tomorrow for DD.

Now I just need to chase up where the rent is on my flat and then everything will be coming up roses.

Friends over for lunch, using up the freezer so having slow roast rib of beef, roast potatoes, parsnips, yorkshire pudding, cabbage, carrots, peas and then cheese and biscuits for grown ups and icecream for children.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Mamazon · 10/01/2010 10:43

oh doesnt look promising then, im a 40E. will just have to buy a shed load of knickers then.

i will wake up every day and say hurrah 'smonday i can eat shite.

ninah · 10/01/2010 10:45

Hi Mrs Sawdust - we have some no-S-ers on here, we also recommend The Lord Ford for basic 'eat what you like but fewer calories-worth of it' weight control - set it to 1 lb a week if you want to go nice and gently. It allows you to see where you're wasting calories - and to compare and go 'Hmm, I can have either this glass of baileys or this bar of chocolate, which shall I have'

hellsbelles · 10/01/2010 10:51

fanny - sound like a blissful list of things going well.

Welcome Korma & ninah -

I'm Hells - currently halfway through the 'strict' bit of south beach diet (so 1 week to go) and have lost a fair bit...but still have another stone to go.

My temptation today is mostly smoking. I watched the Coco Chanel film yesterday and each and every cigarette she smoked looked utterly ravishing and so elegant.

Of course it wasn't smellavision which also helped....but today I'm just longing to take out a beautiful silver monogrammed cigarette case (my grandmother actually had one... ) and puff away while saying hugely entertaining things (now that would never happen so we can tell this is a dream sequence) - instead I shall have to settle for a poached egg

Mamazon · 10/01/2010 10:56

mmmmmm poached eggs. i lurve poached eggs. not got any eggs though and i dont love them enough to brave the very steep icy hill that i live at the top of to get to the shop at the bottom.

Fanny - certainly sounds like things are going well

Hello ladies

Sorry for being awol again, but here I am to join in the beginning of a new thread again and then tail off towards the end .

Healthy eating/living is not tailing off though - have got back on track very quickly after Christmas. 9st 4lb this morning (started at 11st 1lb near the beginning of these threads whenever that was!).

I'm desperate to run but don't really want to break my leg slipping on the ice . I've got a new training regime I've created for myself so I'm all excited to get started on it but I can't!

My aim is comfortable size 8s, a flat enough stomach to wear a bikini this summer (ha ha!) and hopefully a bmi of 22. Oh, and I'd like to run a 5k this year, and within 30 minutes.

ahh my weight loss aim is to see my fanjo without having to lift my belly out the way first

TrillianAstra · 10/01/2010 11:02

Well done Flamingo.

Shiney the cock chat was deliberately on the old thread, new thread is nice and clean and about diets.

IMO you can tell the no-S diet was written by a man, and a man who probably didn't care about /think baout food as much as I do.
