Don't take Pandemrix, only Celvapan....if you can get it!

First off, I'm not a medical advisor but I do A LOT of research b/f I make any big, rash decisions on anything! I am 7 months pregnant and have a 18 month old at home. That being said, I have been very skeptical on the whole swine flu vaccine and how it is important to pregnant women. I find it very disturbing how our medical advisors can issue these vaccines without giving us the facts behind them. What I mean is, everytime I ask questions, they seem to not know the answers but then turn around to ensure me that this shot is SAFE. Well, thats just not good enough for me!! So I listen to every brodcast, google everything possible, read every magazine and newspaper article until I'm blue in the face.....and still, nothing explains WHY this shot is so safe for pregnant women? So I've come across links in the US stating that doctors are only giving preservative free, pre-syringed shots to pregnant women as they say is the safest bet to the fetus's health. Preservative free means mercury free from the preservative Thimerosal. Thimerosal has 25mg of mercury. Basically, if you are advised to not eat fish and other things with high mercury, why would you inject yourself with a mercury perservative? Also Thimerosal has become illegal in the state of California, and soon to be other states following suit, b/c it leads to autism in children. Vaccines with mercury have been considered to contribute not only to autism but also learning disabilities, Alzheimer?s disease, and other neurological conditions, yet many clinics still use thimerosal because of the gradual phasing out of mercury products. (www.thimerosal-autism-symptoms.com/) Now, the other problem is the adjuvant Squalene. Squalene is an oily substance produced by your liver ? introducing squalene into the body via a ?vaccine? (which contains foreign substances to activate the immune system) can lead the body to consider ALL squalene bad. This can and does result in auto-immune diseases such as lupus, arthritis, and MS. Also Squalene (MF 59) was added to the anthrax vaccine. This vaccine caused tens of thousands of U.S. Iraq Desert Storm soldiers to suffer permanent neurological damage called ?Gulf War Illness.? Squalene (MF 59) enzyme is not approved for human consumption but waived for use in the H1N1 vaccine. (www.novaccine.com/vaccine-ingredients/results.asp?sc=27) The UK government bought two h1n1 vaccines.....the first one is the American company GlaxoSmithKline, who produce Pandemrix....the other is also American, Baxter, who produce Celvapan, a preservative free shot that doesn't contain any of the above. But funny enough, the government spent loads on Pandemrix b/c it was already made and happens to be cheaper to the Celvapan. And you can only receive the Celvapan if you have an egg allergy or suffer from certain medical problems that basically doesn't apply to pregnant women!

So bottom line is, I hope this gave you all a little insight on what they are trying to push into our bodies. I am not completely against the vaccines but I want to be able to have the choice of which one I want to protect me. Shame on the government for not giving us the true details of this vaccine and trying to use scare tactics to push us to have the shot. I am like every one of you out there who is nervous about having the shot but nervous about not getting one. I don't want to not be protected if it gets out of hand come flu season soon. But I think if they are saying pregnant women are priority, TOP Priority, then they should give the safest shot for us and our unborn child's wellbeing. And because of this lack of caring, I prob won't be receiving the h1n1 shot come this winter b/c I will NOT take Pandemrix!! Celvapan or nothing.

Beesting - you say you are the person adverse incidents are reported to. However, that relies on the reporting.

My son had an adverse reaction to the MMR jab at 13 months. He developed a full body measles rash, vomitting and diarrhea. This was from 1 week after the jab. The rash and vomitting went away after a few weeks but the diarrhea continued for 2 years. His behaviour also changed over those few weeks - his communication regressed and his eye contact stopped and he started flapping his arms, and went back to chewing everything.

I initially went back to my GP in those first few weeks who confirmed it as an MMR adverse reaction. I assumed this would be reported appropriately and left it with her.

When my son was diagnosed with autism at 3 years old I asked about the MMR adverse reaction and whether this was possibly related. The same GP asked me what reaction I was talking about. It wasn't on my notes, and had never been reported.

So how many other things are not making it to your desk? My father who works in General Practice in Australia comes over to the UK to work for a month each year on the NHS as a locum. He says there is a climate on non-reporting here as no-one is prepared to touch the MMR topic with a long pole.

I have no idea if there is a link between the MMR and autism, but I know for sure that you can't use YOUR data to be sure of this as you simply don't have a reliable reporting trail.

I have spoken with countless other parents who I have met through my son. There are so many other stories just like mine.

When my son had his jabs they contained Thimersal. When my daughter had hers 18 months later it had been removed from all childhood vaccinations in the UK. It's hard not to see a link!

I'd also like to state for the record: given the choice between an autistic child or one who died from measles due to not being vaccinated I know which I would choose. Measles kills. Autism aint a picnic, but he's adorable and ALIVE.

bubbleymummy · 22/02/2011 19:32

slightly off the original topic but....hipchick of course everyone would choose an alternative to their child dying. However, do you honestly believe that the alternative to not vaccinating your child against measles or choosing the single vaccine = death? Have you looked at the measles mortality data in the UK?(presuming you live here) We are fortunate enough to live in a country with good sanitation, nutrition and readily available antibiotics to treat secondary infections if they arise. In an country where measles mortality had declined to 0.02% BEFORE the vaccine was introduced 50 years ago. That is the same mortality rate as swine flu. It has decreased even more since then. So basically you are worried about a disease that was as deadly as swine flu 50 years ago and is even less so now.

Although that probably won't reassure anyone who panicked about swine flu! I can see the headline now - "swine flu is as deadly as measles!" Grin

bubbleymummy · 22/02/2011 19:34

Actually it should be "deadlier than measles" seeing as that was 50 years ago! :)

hipchickmck · 21/07/2011 20:37

Hi Bubbleymummy

It's not just the death vs autism to be weight up with regards the MMR. Measles itself has been shown to cause autism. So, if you were to avoid vaccination and then wind up getting the measles virus, it's not just the possibility of death but the very real possibility that all the things which made you a prime candidate for autism from the MMR (eg leaky gut, genetic predisposition to autoimmune disorders etc) would also make you more likely to develop autism post measles infection. And there is a chance that it would be more severe, as the live measles virus packs way more of a punch than the attenuated virus in the vaccine.

Just the way I see it.

bumbleymummy · 22/07/2011 15:48

hipchick - where did I mention autism?

European Medicines Agency recommends restricting use of Pandemrix

Chrisinstrad · 28/10/2011 14:02

look at the following link for problems with Pandemrix I quote the first paragraph below:

articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/10/28/cdc-director-arrested-for-child-molestation--bestiality.aspx?e_cid=20111028_DNL_art_1

By Dr. Mercola

Dr. Kimberly Quinlan Lindsey, a top official with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation and one count of bestiality.

Dr. Lindsey, who joined the CDC in 1999, is currently the deputy director for the Laboratory Science Policy and Practice Program Office. She's second in command of the program office.

Prior to that role, she was the senior health scientist in the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response, an office that oversees the allocation process for $1.5 billion in terrorism preparedness.

According to CNN:

"Authorities also charged Lindsey's live-in boyfriend, Thomas Joseph Westerman, 42, with two counts of child molestation.

The two are accused of 'immoral and indecent' sexual acts involving a 6-year-old ...

The bestiality charge says Lindsey 'did unlawfully perform or submit to any sexual act with an animal.'"

Between January and August last year, Dr. Lindsey and her boyfriend allegedly involved the child during sex, and DeKalb County police claim they discovered photographs of Lindsey performing sex acts on a couple of her pets.

Some of you may wonder why I've chosen to discuss this story. Some may think it's in poor taste and doesn't belong in a newsletter about health. However, I believe it's relevant to be aware that someone in charge of your child's health is allegedly engaged in child abuse. Her actions raise serious questions in my mind about her level of concern for the health and well-being of children in general.

Dr. Lindsey Played Primary Role in Bogus Swine Flu Propaganda Campaign

As you may recall, the 2009 H1N1 swine flu pandemic turned out to be a complete sham, with a fast-tracked and particularly dangerous vaccine being pushed as the sole remedy. Children and pregnant women were the primary targets of this dangerous vaccine. The H1N1 flu was a perfect example of how the CDC can brazenly distort reality, and often ignore and deny the dangerous and life-threatening side effects of their solution. As a result of this bogus propaganda campaign, thousands of people were harmed (and many died) worldwide.

In August, it was revealed that the 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine increased the risk for narcolepsy?a very rare and devastating sleeping disorder?in Swedish children and adolescents by 660 percent.

Finland also noticed a dramatic increase in narcolepsy following vaccination with Pandemrix. There, an interim report issued in January of this year found that the H1N1 vaccine increased the risk of narcolepsy by 900 percent in children and adolescents below the age of 19. In the US, the H1N1 flu vaccine was statistically linked with abnormally high rates of miscarriage and stillbirths. As reported by Steven Rubin on the NVIC's blog, the US H1N1 flu vaccine was SIXTY times more likely to be reported to VAERS to be associated with miscarriage than previous seasonal flu vaccines.

The only "winners" in this game were the pharmaceutical companies that received millions of dollars for this never-proven-effective and highly reactive vaccine, while being sheltered by our government from liability for any harm it caused.

Dr. Lindsey played an important role in that campaign, which ended in tragedy for countless many?not from a killer flu (statistically, the 2009 H1N1 flu was MILDER than usual) but from the dangerous and expensive "remedy" to this oversold non-threat.

All of that said, I do want to stress that Dr. Lindsey has not yet been found guilty, and there are still many unanswered questions relating to this case. But this is not the only shocking story raising questions about the ethics of those involved in creating the CDC's health recommendations.

Oh come on Chrisinstrad. A quick look at the website mercola.com shows it to be linked to the National Vaccine Information Centre who are a prominent anti vaccine pressure group. The site is also a commercial site selling a range of supplements. When I see the word "miracle" in a product name, alarm bells ring, especially where there is a lack of peer reviewed evidence to support.

The accusations regarding sexual practices in this case are irrelevant unless your argument is that all people involved in bestialitynare also involved in vaccination scams. It is a poor argument designed only to poison the well of discussion; throw innannassertion that paints someone in a bad light in order to undermine a valid argument or scientific point. Anyone looking objectively should disregard your entire argument on the basis of lack of objectivity, bias and an attempt to poison the discussion with irrelevant information.

Toxophile · 21/06/2012 13:31

Hipchickmck. The peer reviewed science cannot show any link between MMR and Autism. There is no causal correlation between the two. The scientist who wrote the initial paper was discredited.

My daughter was having inoculations at the time and I had no worries about MMR then and have had none since including her inoculations for HPV. What I am happy about though is that she was not left deaf or blind from Measles or suffered the agony of mumps. She has not died of pertussis, and yes children do die every day in this world from whooping cough.

Last night there was a programme on Channel 4 that revealed the fact of the narcolepsy that 800 now suffer with as a result of this vaccine - OP was not alarmist but wise to express deep concern.

You can find info online:
[A government-backed study has shown that approximately one in 55,000 children who received the Pandemrix vaccine were at risk of developing narcolepsy, 14 times the normal risk level] www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-03-10/children-face-a-waking-nightmare-in-new-documentary
