For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg

omgomg how much do I love

You could be on to something there Lemur re bad positioning whilst breastfeeding. Doc won't give me anything other than ibuprofen gel due to bf, I just have to wait for it to go away . Fortunately dd1 is a very good picker upper of things that have fallen on the floor. DD2 and everything else I need are all staying at waist height and above.

dd2's growth has slowed, only (only!) 9oz in the last two weeks. she is looong though. she is also smiling

apple
satsumas x 2
banana
tomato
onion
raisins

How about seeing an osteopath TF? I think they're bloody miracle workers.

Infact I think I need to see one now really. Ever since having baby lemur I've had a sore breastbone area (sternum?). It hurts, pulls or cracks whenever I sneeze or cough.

I hunch and lurch forward something wicked when I feed. I don't know why

Anyway, enough about me me me. I hope you get it sorted TF. Don't be like me and wait forever to see someone - other than your shite GP that is!

SuperBunny · 04/11/2009 22:06

mollyroger · 05/11/2009 16:58

TigerFeet · 06/11/2009 10:24

I'd eat peaches every day

yesterday:
houmous
lettuce (lots)
cucumber, tomato, radish, pepper, sp onion, celery (2)
banana
raisins

not so good, I aim to do better today

back much better today thankfully. I can bend [hurrah]. DH took dd to a fireworks display last night, I couldn't go . If it were tonight I'd probably be OK. hey ho. They had a fantastic time but dd had the mother of all tantrums when she got home. It just went on too late for her I think, there were singers, dancers, cheerleaders and so forth there so it went on for a while.

TigerFeet · 06/11/2009 10:44

Hi lovely veggers. I may be awol for the next couple of days. Tomorrow is the 2nd anniv of ds1's death.

Things have been a bit hard over the past week (understatement), especially with dh working away in the week, but I hope things will seem brighter once the day has passed.

xxx

TigerFeet · 06/11/2009 19:15

Oh Lemur

You will be in my thoughts tomorrow

I find that sometimes the anticipation of such anniversaries are far worse than the day itself.

I hope you have a peaceful day

Much love x

mollyroger · 06/11/2009 20:05

Mayor honey, are you on FB by any chance?
