For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg

i have 2 pumpkins that i growed all by myself

the smell of pumpkins baking inwardly is pervading our house - was nice and cosy smelling initially, now becoming a little...cloying, shall we say?

ds covered in rash. again. might have to keep me company again Toot...

hows everyone doing? unsuprisingly my exercise has gone down the toilet during half term and can't go for a swim with a poorly ds in tow...i will make him watch me do an hour of davina dvd tomorrow - that'll perk him up hahaha

littlerach · 03/11/2009 18:39

A tasin is related to the more common raisin

Xmas cake making here on Saturday, Lemur. Must visit my sister to steal her brandy.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/11/2009 08:24

You'll have to let me know how it goes SB.

I always used to steal brandy from sister, then last year I actually bought my own! It was from the basics range in Sainsbo's and dirt cheap. It probably doesn't resemble brandy at all, but it's ok for cooking.

I feel the need to bake today ..............

TigerFeet · 04/11/2009 10:17

gah, cars, they are almost more trouble than they are worth, if i didn't live in the sticks i wouldn't bother with one, fortunately have a good one atm, bought from fil for a knock down price, he had it from new and looked after it far better than i do
