For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

I love HFW too but all his recipes seem horrifically laborious (First, take your sheep and have it humanely slaughtered at an independant organic sheep-slayers....)

Hello

littlerach · 27/10/2009 20:53

littlerach · 28/10/2009 09:16

Thanks TooT!

It was an interesting visit!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/10/2009 19:16

Is that interesting as in 'interesting' LT ?!

I know I shouldn't laugh, but I did laugh at where fk's were. He soooo knew they were there but didn't want to let on. Little monkey!

banana x2
apple
grapes
cucumber
olives
spinach

I have made a spinach and ricotta lasagne, tis yum yum.

I have never tried a HF-W recipe, far to complicated for me. I have to stick with Delia

littlerach · 28/10/2009 20:45

spinach and riccotta?
Drooooooooooooool.
My favourite

Yep, that kind of interesting!
We had a nice time, but it felt tense and MIL and SIL bicker a lot.

MIL made sweatbreads for lunch on Tiuesday
Dh refused to eat them
He had the veggie option, with me

TooTicky · 28/10/2009 20:51

I have a hot and poorly little girl

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/10/2009 07:22

Do you mean sweetbread LR? What is it?

I hope you dd is ok Toot? Is it a cold or the dreaded flu?

TigerFeet · 29/10/2009 09:15

ewww @ sweetbreads... I am an omnivore but hypocritically I do draw the line somewhere

hope dd2 is feeling better today TooT

my dd2 has been snotty and out of sorts, but seems better this morning

my sister has glandular fever

mum has been here, but went home yesterday, bearing choc and cheesy DVD's for dsis

lots of salad
lots of fruit
lots of walking

littlerach · 29/10/2009 09:54

Um, think sweatbread.

Dh (and I ) thought they were sheep testicles but MIL says they are neck glnads.

Hope you're not eating!!!

TooTicky · 29/10/2009 11:32

Dd2 still under the weather. Hot and headachey and feels as if there are lots of little balls whizzing around in her brain, sore throat. Perkier than last night but suspect this evening she may go flopsy again.

Healthful vibes to all who need them.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 29/10/2009 11:59

Hi, also about shoes, they are such monkeys.

I hpe DD2's poorliness is short lived Toot.

TooTicky · 29/10/2009 12:44

Oh yes, shoes are definitely monkeys

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 29/10/2009 13:02

pleeeeeeeuuuurrrpppp!!

mwahahahamwahahahallyroger · 29/10/2009 17:15

ds1 is utterly obsessed with skateboarding now, so having been a good skatemumma and put new grip on his new deck (get me with the terminology), we spent the afternoon at a nearby skate park watching him ollie away and that. I love this time of year when the weather is kind, I love the smells and the colours and even the creeping darkness. All this fades into hatred when it rains and howls outside, mind.

We are planning a gourmet supper to celebrate start of The Restaurant on tv tonight

Minted, rolled lamb joint with home made reccurrant and port jelly jus, served with roasted winter root vegetabtles and a potato dauphinoise.

TigerFeet · 29/10/2009 18:21

Oh Molly, I missed you. Would have loved to meet up. I have to come back that way many times in future and would love to meet up.

Was an awful trip - v busy and intense and sad, no free time or time alone. Got lots going on now but am glad to be home. Am a 10/10 failure though.

SuperBunny · 30/10/2009 23:01

Have had wine. Apologies for crappy sentences and repitition in previous post.

TooTicky · 01/11/2009 17:10

Where is everybody?

I have a bowl of pumpkin flesh. Homegrown pumpkin flesh.
