Eat fruit and vegetables - 10/10 thread BOOTCAMP, all welcome

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello!
We've just been to Walberswick and everyone but me swam in the sea, it's been such a warm and beautiful day, and then we went to the pub and sat in the garden and had chips and beer [happy]

How's everyone?
Tiger how's the bump?
(bbee thanks for saying nice things about book pictures, was v. v. good seeing you, sorry about the pee)

SuperBunny · 31/08/2009 20:10

Devizes festival sounds v good.

We did very little today, was lovely.

DS has his first settling in session at nursery tomorrow but tbh, I think he's going to be very cross when they tell him it's time to leave. Apparently, they only want him for an hour or so and i have to stay.

It isn't really feasible to do a 300 mile drive on a Friday night after work, is it? And then come back on Sunday afternoon.

Veg Soup - lots (3)
Rhubarb
Juice

Five

Hello

I have decided to come back properly because I miss you all and you cheer me up

I also need encouragement to eat good stuff.

DS & I have been away in Norfolk for 10 days and just got back today. I have two more days of freedom and then back to work

RL ishoos notwithstanding it was good to have a break.

Hello to BBBee & Franny and the newcomers.

I'll try and catch up now...there seems to be a lot of plumbing related chit-chat

TooT pyrotechnics sounds good ...are you feeling any better?

SuperBunny · 31/08/2009 21:44

Oh FK, I missed you! I was just wondering how you are.

Morning

Been awake since 4.30 . I have no idea why. I woke up for another frigging wee and just couldn't get back to sleep.

My lovely friend BabiesEverywhere is here with her dc's . I am nesting, nesting, nesting and have been getting extremely twitchy whenever a toy is got out . It's a good job she's such a good friend, I'm probably driving her insane

Not much f&v yesterday. Can I still keep my shiny sticker?

Glad ds enjoyed himself SB, dd went through periods of refusing to come home from nursery, inbetween the phases of not wanting to go.

Good luck to Boco's dd2.

Lucy is back to school tomorrow. Y1 is very different from reception at her school, different entrance, different set up inside. She seems OK about it all though, she will just stick with her mates. She's not always too confident and isn't good with change, but with her friends around her she'll be fine.

DH caught crabs last weekend

MayorNaze · 02/09/2009 15:58

1st day back at school!!!

ds is a prefect am v proud [rin]

dd1 looks so grown up compared to all the littlies (she has just started y3), she is being a star as i am unexpectedly babysitting my friends 4yr old dd and dd2 is too knackered to play any more, bless

nursery was great! she LOVED it! hopefully she will carry on loving it, one more settling in session tomorrow and then 5 hours fri. she is so little... but think of all the things i can do with NO CHILDREN!!

and it is now thrwing it down with rain

ok

nectarine
raspberries
banan
strawberries

well done boco!

snurk at crabs

you will no doubt all be pleased to hear that the dog poo epsiode was reoslved with minimal damage
