Eat fruit and vegetables - 10/10 thread BOOTCAMP, all welcome

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco · 18/09/2009 20:44

How strange. I've been playing on spotify and making a playlist, and was just listening to a song by Lambchop called 'National Talk Like a Pirate Day'. Coincidence? Or...something else

ThePinkOne · 18/09/2009 20:53

What is spotify? If it's as addictive as Farkle or Farm Town tell me but don't tell me how to get it

Boco · 18/09/2009 21:01

It's better. It's just a music site where you can listen to pretty much anything you can think of instantly.

SuperBunny · 18/09/2009 21:16

No-one is allowed to talk about Spotify because I can't play [envious]

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 19/09/2009 08:10

CrouchingTigerFeetHiddenBaby · 19/09/2009 09:51

Oh my, my PC just crashed and when I rebooted it had lost all my logins and so forth. I'd fogotten I changed my name and couldn't log in for a bit... I have MN Classic but I was stuck with The Other Way and it was all WRONG . It looks like one of those forums [sob]. My poor brain couldn't cope.

Anyway all is well now.

Still here. 7 days over now.

Boco · 19/09/2009 10:27

Oh poor Tiger. I remember that feeling well. I went over by 14 days with dd2 and had to be induced - and went a bit mad by the end, decided that if she hadn't come by 14 days we'd just forget the whole thing and I'd get a job. I even looked at the job pages.

mollyroger · 19/09/2009 10:41

lol

FrayedKnot · 19/09/2009 12:46

Hello everyone

Tiger how frustrating it must be

Lol at getting a job Boco

I've just washed my floor for the first time in about a year

And had to make pancakes for breakfast not because I am perfecting my domestic goddess skills but because we had no bread or cereal

They were rather nice though

1 Apple

MayorNaze · 19/09/2009 16:45

bonjour

peas
brocolli
carrots

yeah bugger all. but arseloads of exercise

cardio box and hardcore cleaning oh joy. and curry tonight whoohoo!

come on baby! that is to TF btw. out with pregnant friend last night, thought of you

hello and {{{{}}}}to everybody

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 19/09/2009 17:21

Being overdue is a state of mind TF. Just see it as another night that you don't have a newborn meeping next to you for a feed

I am very excited for you. I think the part of the excitement is the not knowing.

Have you got names sorted?

What's the agenda in the TF Towers tonight?

8pm Curry (with a beer of course)
9pm Pineapple for dessert.
9.30pm Bouncing up and down on ball.
10.30pm A good hard shag which includes lots of nipple tweaking and a huge orgasm That's what got the baby in there and that's what will get it out
4am wake up with period pains
4.05am baby girl in your arms

SequinEncrustedFrayedKnot · 19/09/2009 18:51

DS has insisted we watch Strictly together tonight (well, he'll be watching the first half hour ) so I thought I'd dress up for the occasion.

I've tried to get him interested in football but it seems he'd rather watch a good tango.

Do you think my name sounds glam, or just a bit crusty?

SequinEncrustedFrayedKnot · 19/09/2009 18:52

Oh yes, the excitement is the not knowing, isn;t it?

TF probably doesn;t agree whatsoever at this point though

mollyroger · 19/09/2009 19:58

ooh v, erm, sparkly....!

I am gritting my teeth as we have been babysitting friend's boys since 2pm and someone was supposed to come and pick them up at 7pm. They didn't turn up til now
