Ok, haven't finished but have done bare minimum and given the likelihood is I'll be up in about 5 1/2 hours, I think I'll call it a night.

I have lost 9lbs in total. Going to go to bed with that positive though in mind.

Mustn't forget to wave to BOF on her I-phone/crackberry, whatever device it is she's fiddling with tonight

Well done on your first few days.

Superbunny - where are you? And our other new joiner too....sorry, can't remember your name and too tired to scroll back forgive me!

FLAMINGO - just thinking about your name having pmsl laughing at your completely benign AIBU which you probably posted half out of boredom and forget there are half a million she-wolfs just poised to pounce as soon as another AIBU hits the screen!

I heart crafts.....some of my best friends are crafts

Sycamoretreeisvile · 21/06/2009 23:40

Sorry flamingo - meant to say was thinking about your name and suddenly had a moment where I thought, hang on, is that a game I used to play when I was my mothers own little DD?

And then I googled it and only found actual bingo places, not some board game I half fancied I remembered.

Will you enlighten me? I think I may be barking up the wrong lamp post.

Shiney - please post a new thread in the morning, there's a darlin'

Don't make me post another duplicate and look like a nobber like last time

Some good suggestions here. I like the idea of one that shows we are all making progress of some sort or another.

TrillianAstra · 21/06/2009 23:57

Hi all.

BoF - get thyself newer MN with pages, then no thread is too big!

Don't worry Flamingo, YWBU but not in a bad way (I did actually see it). I also have a weird kind of loyalty for people on this thread, even when they are beign far more unreasonable than that (no names mentioned of course ).

That's all I can manage for now, but thought I should check in and say hi or else there will be too many posts for me to ever read them!

Sycamoretreeisvile · 22/06/2009 07:14

Thank god trills posted last night, otherwise I'd be meeting myself in some wierdy time warp way in cyber space.

Morning all.

Cup of tea so far. Slightly more reasonable start to the day with DS rising at 6am.

Going to ask DH if he can try really hard just just nap him across lunchtime which will be hard as he'll be flaking massively by 11 ish.

But this is progress, right?

Goooood vibrations to you all this Monday morning. Reach for the low fat yoghurt-- skies

Sycamoretreeisvile · 22/06/2009 07:15

obviously meant to strike our yoghurt too.

flamingobingo · 22/06/2009 07:22

Hello

Syc - name is completely random. Had been seeing flamingoes somewhere with the children that day, and, well, bingo rhymes with flamingo - sorry it's such a simple reason!

I was going to start this post with the phrase 'another day, another calorie' because, although I've made an attempt to FF my Sunday tea yesterday, I don't really think it's accurate.

Anyway, will be back to normal today - just need to find a low calorie chicken pie recipe for tonight's supper to use up left-over chicken.

Hello my luverlies

Feel thinner, can now feel hip bones, but the bloody scales just ain't budging.

Soo, gonna (and do it now) get my old ww stuff out of the drawer and write everything down (like I was gonna do last week ).

Got lots to do today.

Where is the "Leader of the Pack"?

Leader of the pack, leader of the pack. brum brum..... revs handles of bike all leathered up . Does anyone remember that song - think it was the Shangrilas or am I just old?

bellavita · 22/06/2009 07:28

oh and don't forget your helmet Shiney!!!!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 22/06/2009 07:49

Ok...so I have woken up and my 'spark' is a raging fire and my hormones have exploded like a firecracker in a fireworks factory....

oh lordy, someone lock me up for my own protection..

so...morning all..

bellavita · 22/06/2009 07:53

ouch that hurt....

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 22/06/2009 07:58

oops, sorry bella, a bit over enthusiastic there....

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 22/06/2009 08:05

Morning all

I went to bed early , lights out at 9.15 I think, so missed all your lovely messages. Thank you. Made me all teary.

Have stomach ache (period) but will take pain killers later if it hurts more.

My stomach looks less bloated and I feel less heavy but haven't weighed myself.

DH made me a slice of jam on toast but I had 3-4 small bites then binned it. Partly as it seemed to go straight through me but also because I just didn't want to eat any more. Have had a drink of milk and might have a banana or bowl of cereal when I get back from taking the kids to school.

With the FF thing are you meant to have all your calorie allowance and how often should I weigh myself? Will I be heavier now my period has started?

Will walk the kids to school as my knees are in a bad way so can't do my exercise dvd. Any suggestions for one with less strain on my knees but will still do some good, would be great.

Oops, that was a bit long.

harleyd · 22/06/2009 08:23

blimey you lot talk a lot
threads nearly full already
anyway, running out the door in a min, will be back this morning

I think whoever posts the 1000th post needs to pick their fave of the three suggestions we've had so far and start the next thread.

I've just FF'd my chicken pie plan - 787 cal per portion . I love pastry .

Next time will use mashed potato instead - this time I have puff pastry to use up - how calorific is that stuff???

FBG yes, eat up to your calorie allowance. Crash dieting makes your body go into survival mode and your metabolism slows down and you don't lose weight.

Can you afford to do something like aqua-aerobics?

OP posts:
bellavita · 22/06/2009 09:02

Have got my ww books out and have just reduced the amount of margarine by half that I put on my toast. I only scraped it on before but looking at the points per teaspoon full I was still putting too much on and not counting the correct points

mistlethrush · 22/06/2009 09:03

FBG - good start - well done! I think that the recommendation from most diet things is that once a week is a good interval for weighing - it does give you the chance to have lost something. I'm always heavier around my period, especially in the run up - but different people differ. So if you weigh yourself now, there is a chance that you will be weighing a bit of extra water - so you might seem to lose quite a bit the first week and then plateau a bit. However, if you track what's happening this will become obvious and you will notice when and if and hw much extra to anticipate those weeks.

FF works by getting you to input your current weight, suggest a weight you want to get down to, and then saying how much you want to aim to lose per week. This is where you can be sensible or silly - but if you're sensible and put in, say, 1 lb - 1.5 lbs a week, it is do-able. It then suggests the number of calories per day that you should be aiming at. - you can also input excercise you do during the day and it will make an additional allowance for the calories you've burnt.

I quite like the way FF shows you the amount of calories you would normally need to maintain your weight, and then the calories that you're aiming for (lower).

I hope you're feeling a bit more rested today and have a good one!
