Bella - I'm going to propose a Poast to your long and happy marriage

Any tips?

VinegarTits · 16/06/2009 13:09

I think you should give him one more try as Syc says, your not so much shollow but maybe a tad fussy, i have come to realise i cannot afford to be so fussy these days (not saying you can't though but being fussy has got me nowhere)

I went on a date the other week, nice guy but he has been working nights shifts back to back since so not had a chance to set up another date yet, been texting each other though, and he make me laugh

His dating profile said - 'looking for a woman who can cook and clean, must have a flat head to rest me pint on' probably would have sent others running for the hills, but it made me pmsl, he was joking of course!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 16/06/2009 13:18

Not being shallow shiney..you have to prioritse what you need and you are considering his feelings in that you don't want to lead him on and let him down, On the other hand, still waters often run AWFULLY deep

But don't listen to me, it is about as useful as asking me for directions, if I spin around twice I am lost.

bellavita · 16/06/2009 13:20

lol at tips!

Only married 22 of those 26 years though.

Tis funny you should be proposing a poast Sycamore, 'cos my Dad got all his words mixed up in his speech and it came out something like that!

We just sort of rub along nicely. He would call me high maintenance, but doesn't every dh/dp say that? He earns the money, I spend it, I earn mine and get to keep it

JamieJay · 16/06/2009 13:31

Can I join please?

I want to lose 2 stone before I go to New York at the beginning of September for a my belated honeymoon. Also planning to re-start trying for a baby whilst we're there.

Joined Slimming World last Monday and lost 4.5lbs yesterday. Need something to keep me on track during the week and you guys all seem slightly mad really supportive

Shiney - have been lurking and think you should give the man another chance, thought DH was way to nice for there to be any chemistry for the first 3 dates but boy did he prove me wrong.

Welcome JamieJay!

We are all denominations here. I'm personally a fucked up splicing of Weight Watchers and Lighter Life support group with this bunch of freaks highly intelligent ladies for back up day to day.

Together, we can shed the EU butter mountains in fat....

FairMidden · 16/06/2009 13:44

Very briefly (lunch hour)

flamingo - a very non-MN hug for you my dear I hope you get the GP on side this time.

shiny - aw, give him another chance but tell him he'd better come up with the goods this time Oh, and obviously we'll need the full details of date number 2!

Hi JamieJay! Welcome to the madness, I don't imagine this compares too closely to SW!

Thanks for asking about my wibbles TMW - I don't know why, I'm keeping at the exercise but having trouble keeping sugar cravings under control. Need to get back on the salads, and feeling a lot of pressure about food because I have a weekend on call coming up and that can mean very irregular meals andsubsequently eating rubbish.

Off back to the grind, hope you all have a nice day and enjoy the sunshine we're getting right now!

Sycamoretreeisvile · 16/06/2009 13:48

Fairmidden - hard being on call. Irregular hours throw you out of your routine.

The key is planning. If you can, pack your meals for the day. Have healthy snacks in your bag etc.

Can anyone help me by Food Focussing 10 pieces of sushi please? Mostly fish...

Does it give sat fat content also?

WW online is no help to me...

Sycamoretreeisvile · 16/06/2009 14:01

Oh, and a glass of champagne.....

bellavita · 16/06/2009 14:02

Hurray! As DS-Sycamore would say

See Shiney, that's what I love about you.

You're up for grabbing life and seeing what you can make of it.

I post salute you!

Bella - any chance of a few cakes for school fete on Saturday?

I'm on bloody bouncy castle duty....

How did this become my life?

Is anyone going to help me with my sushi or what?

Sycamoretreeisvile · 16/06/2009 14:08

no - a mere minion....not the great CW himself.

My mum, god bless her, bought me a voucher for my birthday.

Was supposed to happen last week but had to cancel due to extreme tonsil lurgy.

bellavita · 16/06/2009 14:09

Yes, welcome Jamie

at bouncy castle duty (I hate the bloody school fete things)

Am making cakes for DH's work. They have a coffee n cake thing on a Friday and they request mine. I do get paid for doing it (well a small amount). Just trying to get ahead of myself - these will go in the freezer and I will make some more on Thursday night. Tis a shame I work during the day on a Thursday because that would be the ideal time to do them all.

Bloody 'ell Sycamore, have just read you are going to Charles Worthington. Is the man himself going to be doing your hair? at champers.

Sazzle's its from a place called Wasabi - they might only be a small london chain...not sure. Cheapo....

But really, any generic 10 pieces of sushi are approx...would do.

Try itsu if they don't have Wasabit registered...thanks my lovely.

SHINE - I refer you to Jamie's post and mine of about a million posts ago about my first thoughts on meeting DH....Let's just say, it wasn't as though I'd not had my fair share of shags before I met him....

And it was with he I decided to stick around

Actually, didn't someone post a while back about how much burns in calories?

My DH might get an unexpected boon....

Sycamoretreeisvile · 16/06/2009 14:21

Am I coy suddenly?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 16/06/2009 14:22

My 'diet coke crush' creates so much internal chemistry in me I am in danger of spontaneous combustion...

I'll bottle it for you if you like shiney .
