Have thoroughly kitchen, requiring (or so I told FF) 30 minutes of general effort and 30 minutes of vigorous. Yay, extra calories to eat at BBQ!

bellavita · 21/06/2009 13:28

lol @ harley!

motherpi · 21/06/2009 14:07

After eating my big, fat chinese meal last night, I woke up ravenous. Isn't that odd?

Will try to have a virtuous, de-toxing fruit-day to make up for it, but am craving carbs already...

Fab - Syc is right. If you ever need to talk, we are here.

TrillianAstra · 21/06/2009 14:14

I think it often works like that motherpi - I put it down to your stomach being all stretched so it feels extra empty in the morning.

FairMidden · 21/06/2009 14:23

Morning all.

Been dotting about for work and managed to do some painting which was desperately needing done so brownie points and possibly some calories burned. Poor DP has had to make his own father's day dinner and look after DS while I was out this morning . I can make it up to him later

Sorry you're still down FBG, and TMW too. Tomorrow's another day, you know. There's no limit on those, by the way - you can have as many "tomorrow's another days" as you like! Sending lots of good vibes and positiveness and stuff, here's hoping you're feeling better soon

Go you with the exercise, flamingo. On a Sunday morning too! I'm still fuzzily half asleep because DS didn't get us up until 8am - he obviously knew the best present to give his dad!

Have a good day x

flamingobingo · 21/06/2009 15:24

Got to run on Sundays, FM - can only go when DH or my mum is here.

So, today I have:

  1. gone for a run
  2. Done yoga
  3. Cooked and eaten roast chicken meal with a yummy pudding
  4. Directed DH in baking things for Sunday tea
  5. Pissed off the whole of MN with judgey-pants AIBU thread

Quite productive so far!

Busy day, lots of cleaning, tidying, ironing and sorting and have just made 3-cheese, chicken, pancetta and mushroom gratin for dinner with new potatoes. Tried to input it into FF but didn't have all the info so guessed. Don't understand the graphs at all but will keep plodding on.

I plan to go to bed when the kids do tonight so hope I can sleep.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 21/06/2009 17:57

Hmmm...

1/2 cantaloup melon,
pear,
tomato juice
1/2 home-made baked pizza and salad

lots of tea.

Dancing vigourously to love band whilst holding a 5st DD. (it MUST count for something.)

Walking on and off all day

about to have a can of red bull so I can work.

I am feeling OK. It is a tough time at home at the moment and the believing in 'tomorrows another day' keeps me going. (when I am not screaming ''this is my f* life as well, and I want it back'' in my head ).

Trying to draw on as many inspirational people as possible to give myself a royal kick up the rear.
Anyway, enough introspection......

Your day sounded productive FBG,

and harley and fairmidden sound as if you have worked hard.

RIGHT.....time to get to it...see y'all

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 21/06/2009 17:59

oh...it was a 'live' band, not a 'love' one !!

Sazzles..yayy! on DD1 and poo triumph..

I could be bribed with a pink mouse..

What do I get for chasing DS round the village because he doesn't understand the concept of coming home on time?.

So I have yet to start work...

bellavita · 21/06/2009 19:22

Well done Sazzles dd for pooing in the potty - yay!!

No parents leave straight after brekki on a Sunday morning. My lovely dad would stay for ever, but my mother insists that she needs to get home as she has jobs to do - fgs they are bloody retired, but nope, she has to get the washing machine on. Well was funny really, although not funny for her as she has had a full knee replacement and waiting for the other knee to be done, but for some reason dad could only open the drivers side door of their car. He had problems with it yesterday when they arrived. So I say, well get the AA/RAC out, but no she says she has to get home so proceeds to get in the drivers side (bearing in mind she must be at least 15 st) tries to hoist herself over to the passenger side, manages to get her left leg over, but the right one is stuck full out on the dashboard and she can't get it down - even with the seat fully back. So, my dad asks (tongue in cheek) if she can manage to do the 40 mile back to their house with her leg like it is....

Sycamoretreeisvile · 21/06/2009 20:16

Hi Team Bran Flakes,

Quick post as I have a ton of work to do tonight for work tomorrow think I will be at it until midnight but hey ho - just haven't had a moment to get to it until now.

FabBakerGirl - Do you want to talk about the other stuff my gorgeous? Or would you rather just go with the flow of the thread? I am now officially worrying about you just a little bit. Very often when we are unhappy, and not just a bit peed off, but unhappy in our core somewhere, we use food as an anaesthetic. It can be better than valium, alcohol or hard drugs for some people....

Can you put your finger on what the problems are, or just it just feel like a haze? Being bigger than you want to be can feel like the most immediate thing getting you down, but sometimes weight is an indicator of some deeper emotional issue that is not being allowed proper expression. I'm just reiterating we're here...

My day was ok given I was dodging opportunities to go off message all day.

Poached egg on wholemeal toast, no butter
We had takeaway fathers day offer from pizza express for lunch and I had the pollo salad - with the free garlic bread (curses to that free garlic bread!)
Everyone else had home made banana splits with clotted cream ice cream, squirty cream, chopped nuts, dolce de leche sauce and mini marshmallows....I had...an APPLE

Haven't eaten this evening yet as we went to a nice pub in Wimbledon called, I think, The hand in hand as was in the good pub guide DH got with the paper.

Kids had a nice tea at the pub and DH and I ate up what they didn't. Sausage and mash, fish fingers and chips. I had half a beer shandy (I am NOT a lager girl)

Afterwards we went to the fair on Wimbledon common, did not spot any wombles, but had a great time going on our first ever ride as a family - a kind of uber tame roller coaster called the runaway train. DS, who is not yet two just frickin' LOVED it . DD and DS then went on their first ride together without a grown up - I am a saddo but it was quite a moving moment as they went round and round in their car waving and grinning at us!

Anyway, a lot of traffic on the way back so I ended up cracking open the chocolate raisins to keep el kiddos quiet and I did sneak about 10 for myself and they are properly EVIL on the calorie front.

Go miniSazzles, queen of the potty

Am dreading all that again with DS, but don't think I'm going to go there for a while yet

Will maybe check in a wee bit later.

Ciao Sex Goddesses

bellavita · 21/06/2009 20:30

Actually Syc, you could be talking about my mum there.... scary.... she is so that person.

Hi to everyone else on the thread

flamingobingo · 21/06/2009 20:31

Oh FBG

Depression is totally and absolutely crap.

Unmumsnetty hugs coming your way - lots of them.

I have eaten far too much today, I think. Actually, possibly only a bit too much. But I can't work it all out to 'fess up to FF so going to write off today and start afresh tomorrow.

Please can you all reassure me you still lovely even if I was a smug mummy in AIBU? Please?

[pathetic pleading emoticon]

Makes reasurring noises to flamingo...

We had a rare indian take away for tea, but, I gave DH half my rice and only had two thirds of the curry, so I felt just full rather than over full. He offered me a bottle of beer, but I turned it down and had the rest of the slimline tonic from yesterdays G&T's.

flamingobingo · 21/06/2009 20:40

'you still lovely'?

Obv meant to be 'you still love me'

Thank you Bella - I love you too.

Well done with the Indian.

Anyone else feeling like they're fuller quicker now they've been eating less for a couple of weeks? I am - dramatically so.

bellavita · 21/06/2009 20:42

tis very quiet on here today..

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 21/06/2009 20:42

FBG...

someone quoted to me that ''each journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step'' (might have even been on MN)

I think there are loads of people on here that will hold your hand as you take those steps, but if you need to stand still for a while to catch your breath, that is good too.
