....and all flame could say when I text her to say I was scared was - "have you told them that you will have lots of spare shoes and your jeans will hang funny"

that is so NOT the calming words of a friend is it

so, anyone else there for sypmathy??

please

((ps, not really legless. I had a mole on my inner right thigh that had gone itchy and 'teardrop' shaped, so the dermatoligist(sp?) doc said it needed to be removed, and siad he wanted it done today .........the anaesthetic is wearing off now tho and my leg feels odd....))

oh and you have given birth btw ( incase you hadn't noticedlol).. stitches out will be like batting a pesky fly away!

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 21:38

I might have given birth, but that has gas and air as an incentive

this however, I will be thinking about and working myself up about all bloody week.

the only good thing about this mole op. was that it was all so sudden I had no 'working up' to do bar fretting why they were calling me sooner....

See, I told you they called you up quick so they could fix it!

BCNS · 05/06/2009 21:46

honestly you be gagging for them to come out.

H was so desperate for his to come out.. he begged me to do it.. so I did.

GP laughed about it.

literally they'll just hold the end of the stick snip and pull all in one go.. it's very fast!.

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 21:46

yes you did at that trillian.

you were right

OP posts:
BCNS · 05/06/2009 21:47

stitch.. not stick.. I'm sure they feel like twigs in your leg... but they're not

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 21:47

nooooo......no fastness.

I cannot even do the plasters off fast.

sriously, am a terrible wimp. I faint when I stub my toes!

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 21:51

But they'll do it fast for you. You'll have to make sure you are lying down!

BCNS · 05/06/2009 21:54

yes lay back look at the ceiling and think of butterflies and marshmallows ( or nice things your not allergic to )

that's what I was told..

but usually I just think of england

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 22:01

am not thinkin of england......might make funny noises that are not appropriate for the nurses office

will think of you lot geeing me on, and laughing at me if I turn into a wibble-jelly-psycho.....

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 22:01

TrinityRhino · 05/06/2009 22:03

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 22:04

OP posts:
BCNS · 05/06/2009 22:06

BCNS · 05/06/2009 22:06

TrinityRhino · 05/06/2009 22:08

BCNS · 05/06/2009 22:14

I had a large birthmark removed from inner thigh about 7 or 8 years ago - it was going a strange colour and looked weird. The wound looked just like yours, though not quite 4 inches long. The scar is not very noticeable now at all, you can still see slightly where they did the stitches.

Can't remember having the stitches removed at all, so it can't have been bad. I had staples with my C-section and even they didn't hurt coming out!!

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 22:30

ooh thankyou for that parma........have been getting a wee bit stressed about the thought I must admit...
