....and all flame could say when I text her to say I was scared was - "have you told them that you will have lots of spare shoes and your jeans will hang funny"

that is so NOT the calming words of a friend is it

so, anyone else there for sypmathy??

please

((ps, not really legless. I had a mole on my inner right thigh that had gone itchy and 'teardrop' shaped, so the dermatoligist(sp?) doc said it needed to be removed, and siad he wanted it done today .........the anaesthetic is wearing off now tho and my leg feels odd....))

yes, they packed it up in a yellow tub.

I didn;t actually watch them cut it (hid my face in my book), and didn;t feel anything much due to the local anaesthetic, but I did feel the pressure when they pressed down to stop the bleeding (I bled a fair bit), and then when they cauterised the bllod vessels the sizzle and burning was horrid.

tis the size of the wound that is fretting me..............I have 6 stitches, and when I rang the docs surgery earlier to book in for them to be removed in 10 days, the receptionist winced, which is NOT a good sound!

Try not to stress about the removal, seriously it was like someone just tugging at your skin. No pain at all, actually it's quite a weird sensation but not in a bad way iukwim. You will be fine

Mine used to rub, making it bloody sore. It was a relief to get rid.
I was more of a cissy about the local tbh

TrillianAstra · 04/06/2009 21:16

I don't wanna be 'the naggy one' y'know. It's kind friendly reminding, not nagging!

psychomum5 · 04/06/2009 21:19

tis ok, I am the OCD one, with boldness and italics

I like the friendly reminding tho

Fanks for the Fred

How;s the leg this morning?

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 10:47

good morning.

just had my friend round for a natter, and also she has nurse training so she has changed my dressing, cleaned me up, and put a new one on.

I am still bleeding. not tooooo much, but at both ends of the wound, which is mahhooooosive (well, it is actually 4inches long), and very badly bruised. tis clean tho, and not hot, so they are good signs.

am now on leg-rest again (clearly doing too much earlier to set off the bleeding we think). but the kitchen is clean, DS2's bed has been changed (he wet the bed last night having nightmares), and the lounge is tidy so I can relax.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 10:51

I should have known you would be a bleeder

Useful to have friends with medical training! How big was this mole?

I am drinking lots of tea today, and looking for dresses on t'internet as there are none that I like in the shops.

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 11:09

the mole was almost 2cms across one way, 1.5cms the othe way going into a teardrop shape. because of where is is on my inner thigh tho, they had to make a cut like a eye shape, so that they could sew the wound with a straight scar, rather than just cut around the mole, IYGWIM, hence why the scar is so long.

it goes in slightly too where they dug down to get the 'root' of the mole out, plus enough of my skin and flesh surrounding it to ensure they got all of it our should it turn out to be nasty.

I am stupidly squeamish tho, so when my friend was doing it I was whimpering and she was laughing at me (in a nice way of laughing, if there ever can be).

I didn;t look until it was all clean and she pormised me it looked ok, if bruised.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 11:36

I would so want to see (I am nosy and like icky things)!

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 11:38

well when she comes and changes the dressing again, do ya want me to get her to take a pic, so freaks like you my friends can have a good gawk look??

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 05/06/2009 11:39

oooh psycho that sounds really awful
you poor thing
'dug down to get the 'root' of the mole out' is making me feel faint

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 11:40

Well, actually yeah I do! I meant that if it was me I would want to look, but since you offered!

Whenever I give blood I have to look away when the put the needle in (cos I know that if I finch or tense the needle might go wrong and it'll hurt) but I like to see the blood coming out.

psychomum5 · 05/06/2009 11:52

rofl trillian, I will get her to takes pics.

I can use them for the sympathy vote with DH tho too, when he says I am playing on it

trinity, I aim to make friends faint please
