For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh good, the seed of doubt has been planted in your dh's mind

After having glorious weather for the past week it's really quite chilly here today. bbrrr.

I think Baby Lemur is teething too. He's been narky this week which isn't really like him and he bit me yesterday. He drew blood

I shrieked.
he shrieked.
I nearly cried.
He did cry.
A lot.

TooTicky · 04/05/2009 11:24

We are off to Bowood with several tons of homemade delights...

littlerach · 04/05/2009 12:10

ooh, Lemur, i would shriek too

Have done big tidy up in girls' bedrooms whilst they aren't here
Have big bags for charity now and have to conceal in case they find them!

raisins
Banana

TooT, homemade delights sound good.

mollyroger · 04/05/2009 13:10

I feel like we are wasting the day. But it is dark and grey and spitting and after yesterday's rip-off fest, a bit begrudging of throwing any more money at crap.
Dsses are making the funniest little stop-go animation films and 'adverts'.

SuperBunny · 04/05/2009 14:13

Good news, LR

Have a lovely bank holiday everyone. I would like to have gone with Toot and her baked delights today but we do not have a bank holiday/ Am taking DS to participate in a study at the university instead.

pointydog · 04/05/2009 14:43

Went to see 17 again last night and I am beginning to think Zac Effron is rather tasty, which is worrying.

pointydog · 04/05/2009 14:44

pointydog · 04/05/2009 14:58

mollyroger · 04/05/2009 16:32

How old are your dc, pointy?

pointydog · 04/05/2009 16:36

I have just been making a cherry and almond cake, pondering about being more open, like you fruiters. Jury's out .

The dds are 12 and 10, molly. SHouldn't you be away in your van for the bank holiday weekend?

mollyroger · 04/05/2009 16:37

mollyroger · 04/05/2009 16:46
