For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I was being kinda frivolous Pink thinking you could bake mushrooms, tomatoes, pot, soil and all. Stick some basil in as well.

pinkspottywellies · 10/05/2009 20:58

Please don't be frivilous about my tomato problems

pinkspottywellies · 10/05/2009 20:59
Wink
TigerFeet · 10/05/2009 21:01

Have you tried, well, picking them out?

[helpful]

pinkspottywellies · 10/05/2009 21:17

Well no. I thought I'd let them grow if I might be able to eat them or something!

You know I said I wanted to go for a more subdued look, with my sling? Well I'm rather taken with this one now! But it's stretchy.

pinkspottywellies · 10/05/2009 21:19

I bought 3 pairs of shoes today.

Gladiator sandals
More gladiator sandals - more swanky
Silver pumps

mollyroger · 10/05/2009 21:33

Pink, are the pots too small for both? Is there not mush room?

asparagus
Onion
Green beans
Brocolli
Peas

Melon
Banana
Raisins
Strawberrries
Grapes

A perfect 10.

I am trying to persuade dh that we can afford camping in cornwall this summer.

I'm trying to decide whether to do my shopping online. I could've had it done by now if I didn't keep coming on here!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 10/05/2009 21:48

Yes Pink, do an online shop. I only ever pop into Supermarkets for a few bits these days.

Your shoes sound nice. I love pumps, I've got about 3 pairs at the moment. I bought some high wedges on Friday, I'm well over 6 foot in them

The book sounds good Franny, let me know what you think of it when you've finished it. Novels based on real events are my favourite. You learn a bit of history, but it's also sexed up a bit to keep you turning the pages.

What a complete bummer about the ms and mobility problems TF. I should imagine the last 18 weeks can't go fast enough for you.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 10/05/2009 21:48

Lol at Molly's mushroom joke,

TF, I has MS nearly all the way through with DD. I have huge sympathies. She popped out dead easy though so maybe you will follow suit...

Oh the brighter the better in my book pink...loud and proud...I like the sling and it is my fave colour.

Am thinking of designing a tattoo for myself for my 40th birthday as I don't want anything. Or a party or any fuss. It will contain green.

Do you get abdominal migraines as well FK? They are most miserable.....Hope you are back on form soon.
Toot, the photos are Fab, even thought you made my favourite cake.

Well done to Mr Franny....I am impressed. I'd be happy with that. And wasn't somebodies stepson doing a race? I am sorry, my brain doesn't retain info for long. Hope that went well.

FrannyandZooey · 10/05/2009 22:20

pink don't buy a stretchy wrap! seriously, when ds grows a bit you will need wovenness
i think from looking at that design though that you would like a mei tai
millions of beautiful fabrics around
however
i have not sold la rae yet
am still hoohing and hahing myself, so just let me know if you decide anything

FK hope you feel better! sounds dreadful

pink i must admit my reaction was "fry them in butter"

don't know if sutton hoo book was on radio but it really is very good indeed
it was in the 'waterstones recommend' section in the book shop and i am so glad i picked it up

well
i walked about 6 miles today and carried ds for about 2.5 hours
also went to gym but was for review, didn't actually exercise there
the bloke didn't know me, and was trying to get me to do new and complicated exercises and my slightly unstable pelvis and foot and so on were making it hard
not to mention fact i am a klutz
i said "hmm, you see, i have a real problem with..." (about to say 'balance and core stability')
and he said "co-ordination?"

i thought "well YES but you could have pretended not to notice"

Well done Mr Franny.

Nice to see Tiger and Tatties here.

Hope all goes well tomorrow, Molly.

Excellent cake Toot - I need to know what you used to decorate it. And which recipe you used.

Thank you for the mother's day wishes. We went to the big zoo where they have an amazing dinosaur exhibit - life-sized dinosaurs that move and ROAR. Was fab.

I am now snotty and sneezey

Oh just quickly...we have a badger run through our garden....

DS said he saw it yesterday evening(?) and some other children said they had seen it...

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 11/05/2009 08:59

Hanky vibes SB.........

DS has what seems to be D and V so I rang school and they said to send him in for SATS ..... Suppose it could be nerves, but ew....they are welcome to him.

[crap mummy emoticon]

God I LOVE mondays. Every day should be a monday.

WHERE are you all?

perky spring !

littlerach · 11/05/2009 09:24

at school Mits.

It is really windy again here. Good for washing I guess.

SB, ihave been sneezing the last few days too.

Well, DH had The Talk with ILs yesterday and his mum said they weren' planning on staying long anyway, just a day or two.
Grr, if dh just asked questions every so often we would have a lot less crossed lines with everyone.

Anyway.
A badger, Mits? wow.
Don't think timmy Twitch would like that.
D'ya know, he woke me up in the night with bacl leg banging thing they do, even tjough he was outside.
It is like having a newborn again, when you only half sleep.
And i dreamt about rabbit salst night, worrying that I hadn't done the hutch up properly.

Dh bought me a fire pit for our anniversary (iron).
Tis v good.
We toasted bread and marshmallows yesterday. Well, I did bread, they all had mallows.
V good fun.

TigerFeet · 11/05/2009 09:30

Are you allowed virtual fags Molly?

@ badger.

I'd love a fire pit. Are they bunting aspirational do we think? Toasted marshmallows are on my list of Things I Can Eat.

FrannyandZooey · 11/05/2009 09:43

oh firepit good [fire pit owner]

forgot to say tiger yes you can have kiki!

morning all

more focus this week please
i have had banana, raisins, apple and pineapple so far = 4

and TWO cunting mangoes
shoddy start to a vegger's week now isnt' it
it was my own inattention that did it though
we need a mango alarm - that goes off just before cuntingness is achieved
shall we patent one?

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 11/05/2009 09:53

Oh hurrah! I shall order some forthwith and await the Kiki glow.

An alarm would be wonderful. It could be like those securicor vans that talk whilst they're reversing "Beeeep! This vehicle is reversing!" only of course it would be "Beep! This mango is only seconds away from becoming cunting!"

mollyroger · 11/05/2009 09:58

45 minutes.....

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 11/05/2009 10:36

bollox...was trying to get in touch with an old friend by text, but they must have changed their number because I appear to have really upset someone. . I feel dreadful.....
I thought they were winding me up pretending not to know who I was and then the other person really got upset. I don't know what to do. Will just leave it I think and jump on my phone.

Awwww..molly, (((((((((())))))))))

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/05/2009 11:06

Good luck Molly.

I was thinking of TT the other day. We were out for a walk and there were some big fat dandelions, and I thought 'Oh, TT would love them'

I would love a fire pit. I was mulling over them yesterday when I was supposed to be looking at and paying attention to garden furniture.

My FOCUS will be better when the shopping arrives as the cupboards are bare at the mo.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/05/2009 11:06

oh, and what is kiki?

littlerach · 11/05/2009 11:38

Oh how noce Lemur.
Though I spead read it and saw rabbit and firepit and did a little gulp

Hope it goes ok Molly.
