For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think I have my own version of your cunting mangoes.

Bastard avocado's.

Grrrr.

Ready to eat.
My fucking arse they are.

They're not cheap either. One day they're as hard as nails, the next day they're mush.

SuperBunny · 06/05/2009 20:02

I bought a bastard avocado this morning. I have no idea, I know I don't like them.

Well done Mits, on standing up to your Dad & your H. Your DS is lucky to have you.

Does tofu really count? I never count it. Have I been missing it off my lists. I bet I have eaten about 50 portions that I haven't claimed for.

FrannyandZooey · 06/05/2009 20:07

oh i had an avocado! i forgot

yes tofu counts, why would it not? i also think soya milk counts but people got shirty and banned it
fuck knows why

LOLOL @ squinting and 'perhaps forren'.

FrayedKnot · 06/05/2009 21:40

TooT I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Mits - Your poor DS, what a horrible experience, and ongoing situation. I hope you get somewhere with the school and police.

I've done quite well today I think but too tired to actually count portions.

FrannyandZooey · 06/05/2009 22:00

Is tofu made from soya?

TooTicky · 06/05/2009 22:24

Yes, it is soya bean curd.

pointydog · 06/05/2009 22:32

gosh fran, you are so perceptive. Tis a very bad trait, esp when I am on a message board

pointydog · 06/05/2009 22:34

who is anne?

FrayedKnot · 06/05/2009 22:43

I have indigestion. How can I have indigestion?

All I've eaten today is f&v

Pointy, Anne is the alter ego of 100x.

She is known for her utterly sensible approach to all matters.

pointydog · 06/05/2009 22:47

oh.

Guadalupe · 06/05/2009 22:54

Bugger, I have never counted tofu.

Boco · 06/05/2009 22:54

Oh dear Pointy did I get a black mark in the notebook after I asked to see full frontals and your cv?

pointydog · 06/05/2009 22:55

I just pretended that never happened, boco

Boco · 06/05/2009 23:00

That's very generous Pointy.

pointydog · 06/05/2009 23:00
Grin
Guadalupe · 06/05/2009 23:24

Ha, I have been looking on ebay for a old cupboard to make tea on and I clicked on a 'vintage indigo distressed french country cupboard' thinking lol that must be like the ones they sell in Boco's shops and LOL it is one of Boco's shops. Isn't that funny?

Guadalupe · 06/05/2009 23:25

Well I laughed anyway. They really do want £££££££££.

SuperBunny · 07/05/2009 00:30

Ooo guad, how funny!

Previously mentioned 5
banana (1)
rhubarb and orange crumble (1)
Strawberries (1)

And, according to Franny: chocolate soy milk (1)

So NINE. And I will find some raisins later. So, 10, Yay. Fuck off

FrannyandZooey · 07/05/2009 08:43

lol "vintage indigo distressed french country cupboard"

bunny we will have to have a splinter group to count soya milk

Pointy's Secret Notebook:

"100 - claims to have persona called Anne. Bossy type.

FK - has indigestion yet states she has only eaten f+v. Detain for further questioning."

It isn't that nice actually, it looks like someone has painted it and scraped a wire brush over it quickly. I might link to it in a minute.

I am having seed bread with marmite and butter and it is bloody lovely. I will blow up by the time I have finished but it is my favourite thing. Anyway I have to go and choose lino and a sink and some turf in a morninf of thrilling activities. I think a marble effect would look better but I am oddly drawn to the mad blue and green spotted one. It looks fun. I'd like one of those raised rubber ones but at 40 quid a sqm it's outof the question.

Dh says turf takes as long as seed to take but that's crap isn't it? Who does gardening here?

ahundredtimes · 07/05/2009 10:20

Oh dear I'm afraid I have those raised rubber flooring tiles. Am v. fond. But yes expensive. I think the Rubber Flooring Co here they are are less expensive than Dalsouple. Though may still be too much.

Anyway, if this is for your kitchen I wouldn't get the raised rivet ones as will be impossible and tiresome to clean.

I love rubber floors. My friend has rubber flooring in her sitting-room. It works in a really surprising and rather groovy way.

lol at Pointy's notebook. Fra you are making me laugh lots.
