For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Aw, poor ds1. It is really hard when a pet dies. It's nice that he's burying it and can get a new one tomorrow.

TooTicky · 24/04/2009 23:26

I have been quite weepy myself. I do not handle death well. Especially when it is something small and helpless.

pointydog · 24/04/2009 23:32

did the hamster die of old age?

TooTicky · 24/04/2009 23:35

He was only about 4 monthsold

TooTicky · 24/04/2009 23:36

I really must sleep.

Night all xx

pointydog · 24/04/2009 23:46

oh dear, that's sad

SuperBunny · 25/04/2009 01:22

I have planted lots in my gaden - I just got an extra spot in the allotment so can grow more stuff. My growing season is different to yours though and I can't remember how I grew stuff in England. My spuds are growing already.

I am stealing the clown rule.

Um

dried mango
humous
carrot
raisins
juice

pinkspottywellies · 25/04/2009 07:41

Oh no-one did me!

Everyone's still in bed and I'm having a quiet moment. I might have a turn around the garden in a sec

I could do myself I suppose. But only if Pointy does herself....!

Me:
Scruffy, chaotic, well-meaning, energetic, nature-loving, affectionate, garrulous, resourceful, extrovert and introvert, worrier.

littlerach · 25/04/2009 10:07

I have put out courgettes but cover them atnight.
And tomtaoes.

Have put peas, radishes, beans, onions and carrots straight into ground and they are huge.

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 10:21

I bet you are. You are always going to the gym. I don't think you could not look willowy.

I loled at the jiffing basins too, it sounds rude!

Pink is also young, bubbly, thoughtful and smart.

Molly - you have got yourself spot on. You are also classic looking, like a painting. Light and a bit naughty.

My this is tiring. I have to half close my eyes and remember what everyone says and how I perceive them. I need more tea for the effort.

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 10:24

We have forgotten you asked, pointy, and are just enjoying ourselves now!

I have had berries, grapefruit, orange, strawberry, raspberry, banana and mango fruit salad with yo-gurt. I am going to try and be frugal today in advance of my dinner.

mollyroger · 25/04/2009 10:34

I like a bit naughty!
I must disagree with classic looking (unless having a totally square face like spongbob is classic-looking.
Or like a painting means Bauhaus

Pink: Young, perky, pretty, shiney, looks good in hats, energetic, smiley, intelligent, optimisitc.

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 10:37

Lol at Bauhaus. Don't be daft. You are all flowing and pre-raphaelitey. We've all seen you streaking naked across the magic stones remember.

mollyroger · 25/04/2009 10:38

don't tell pointy that, she'll never agree to a meet-up!

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 10:39

I'm not sure the tasting menu is a good idea tonight. Our table is at 9pm, might be a bit late to eat, fish, rabbit and beef do you think? Also, the snickers pudding looks a bit claggy and heavy, I might just prefer to have cheese and a bite of dh's.

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 10:39

lol, I don't think pointy is tempted to come At All.

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 10:46

I think I am going to have Binham Blue Cheese Whip, Beetroot, Merlot Dressing, or Salad of Pickled Artichoke, Cauliflower Fritter, Hazelnut,
Tunisian Olive Oil

and then Pan Fried Fillet of Turbot, Crushed Celeriac, Anchovy Fritter,
Veloute of Broccoli, or maybe Toasted Brioche, Goats Cheese, Braised & Caramelized
Chicory, Orange

although the cheese ones might be too much if I am haviing a cheese board. I like looking at the menu online. I can never decide what I want and then I want everything that everyone is having around me. Am not in a meat mood though.

There, I am sure you thrilled to know what I may eat this evening. I better go and do something constructive and stop blithering.

mollyroger · 25/04/2009 10:47

oh yes, because lots of cheese late at night is perfect for a good night's digestion...

snickers desert? {intrigued}

Guadalupe · 25/04/2009 10:50

Hmm, yes, that's true. Well, I will just have to stay up late won't I?

'Snickers Bar': Iced Peanut Butter Parfait, Chocolate, Caramel

mollyroger · 25/04/2009 10:51

where are you going? I was all seduced by chracter portraits and missed that?
Sounds utterly gorgeous. All of it, veloutes, games, cheese, the lot!
