For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Whenever large groups and alcohol are mixed there are always one who is crying. Thank the lord I am a happy drunk.

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:32

Molly they are crying because they craves new impressions. You'd better organize a trip for them. I know an excellent youth hostel in Riga!

Guadalupe · 27/04/2009 21:33

lol at wimple, it might suit you being a medievalist for the weekend. There might be much tearing of meat and sucking of cherries while a lute plays.

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:33

I think this is the best trip I have heard about in many a while. Am v. excited for you. And on your own too! You can read a book, and walk along a street all on your own. (Except for the 20 therapists sobbing behind you, but they can look after themselves).

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:34

Are you taking a wimple to Riga Boco?

Boco · 27/04/2009 21:38

I don't even know what a wimple is. Is it a weepy therapist? I thought it was a wig that a judge wore, but i'm getting wimple of the bailey and that's not a real thing is it?

No the art therapist is a 50 year old man and he's not at all weepy, he's quite strident.

mollyroger · 27/04/2009 21:38

I hate to break up this surreal cinematographic treat, but I have just scared myself stupid, going for a wee....
A horrid, unnatural odour!

Then I remembered - Eau d'Asparagus, as it were

mollyroger · 27/04/2009 21:39

PMSL @ Wimpole of The Bailey.

Oh, there's that smell again....

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:40

This is a wimple you loon www.theatre.ubc.ca/dress_decor/images/Med_dress/early%20med/wimple.jpg You will be wearing it to the medieval banquet. You will be making yours from the pillowcase at the hostel. Mark my words.

Guadalupe · 27/04/2009 21:40

Thanks for sharing that, Molly.

wimple

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:40

wimple

Essential for travel to the Baltic states, non?

Oh dear Molly . I remember a particularly harrowing beetroot wee once

Guadalupe · 27/04/2009 21:41

I think my wimple is the best

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:41

I like this wimple. This is a good wimple

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:42

SEE. See how many variations there are on a wimple? You'd better start a Style & Beauty thread to see which is a la mode.

Yes, thanks for sharing Moll

Okay must go now. Am utterly pleased about everything Boco, it's going to be great.

Guadalupe · 27/04/2009 21:42

See, 100 has got her whistle

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:43

I got my whistle back in Riga.

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:43

Hmm on second thoughts a pointy wimple may not be such a good idea. You'd have someone's eye out at the disco.

TooTicky · 27/04/2009 21:45

Oh,too much to read!! Have skimmed minimally.

I have stayed in a haunted apartment in Riga.Have also been toLithuania. Beautiful.

TooTicky · 27/04/2009 21:58

Ooh Boco,that is soooo exciting!!

TooTicky · 27/04/2009 22:01

I have kind of missed the point about why you are going there with a team of psychologists though...

pinkspottywellies · 27/04/2009 22:11

No-one mentioned the real point of this thread, which isn't mentioned in the OP. The whole point is that Franny is the winner.

I had an hour's sleep before Ashes to Ashes (on TV). Can I count that as my exerise please? And I'll have an apple juice on my way to bed in a sec so I've got 10 today. Hoorah!

pointydog · 27/04/2009 22:12
  1. re self-esteem, I was kidding really. I hope the thread isn't about bossting self esteem. How awful would that be.
  1. roger has couscous on her list. Couscous! She's havin a larf.
pointydog · 27/04/2009 22:15
  1. oh nicky, commiserations. We lived in a flat that we hated for very similar reasons to yours. It is a horrible situation but someone will come along and they will like it.
TooTicky · 27/04/2009 22:23

Pointy,do you read the lists? I just look at the length of them and sigh inadequately.

TooTicky · 27/04/2009 22:25

Pink, your sleepdoes count as exercise,as does bf [indulgent]
Have a sticker.And some chocolate.
