For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

oh PLEASE can I come??

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:16

Let's go Moll. You take top bunk, I'll take lower one in case I fall out of bed on account of being so utterly TICKLED by this whole trip. And the psychiatrists. And the ESSENTIAL disco and just everything.

Boco · 27/04/2009 21:16

Absolutely Moll. Bring your Bazooka.

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:17

Actually, bollocks to the psychiatrists, you want to go to RIga with 20 veggers don't you? (are there 20 veggers? cotton wool brain won't allow me to compute)

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:18

Can't help feeling TF that the 20 psychiatrists are very key to the success and desirability of this trip.

Boco · 27/04/2009 21:19

Ok. I've just checked the facebook group set up for everyone going. I'd forgot to join, which might be why I forgot about trip. There is going to be a Medieval Banquet.

But the good news, she says she's booked EVERYONE a double bed. To themselves.

It's a good news bad news thing there then.

Double bed, good, Medieval Banquet - no so much.

Apparantly the stag party were all like 'yeah, lets shot a bull, it will be fun'. But none of them did (what a shocker), they just spent hours drinking themselves into oblivion and tucking notes in stripper's knickers instead.

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:20

But, but, but, we would be far less inhibited at the ESSENTIAL disco

Actually I think only 3 are psychiatrists. One is an art therapist, several psychotherapists, a couple of psychologists and some social workers. And me.

pmsl at Medieval Banquet. Have you been to the Bungay one? So bad it's good.

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:22

I bet they will play Bee Gees toones at the disco

"Well you can tell by the way I walk my walk I'm a woman's man, no time to talk"

Boco · 27/04/2009 21:23

Is there one in Bungay? NO, no, I've never been to any Medieval event. Maybe the village school fayre, but I think that's unintentional.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/04/2009 21:23

" you should be dancing, yeah. Dancing, yeah"

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:23

stoppit a medieval banquet? stop. I can't take much more LOLOL

mollyroger · 27/04/2009 21:25

Hmm, my how those minutes will fly by, surrounded by 20 people all nodding at everything you say and Writing It Down, and stroking their chins and watching how you eat.....

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:25

while you adjust your wimple

mollyroger · 27/04/2009 21:26

Fashion Show disco sounds Crazy Good, yah????

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/04/2009 21:27

There used to be one in Bungay, but don't know if it's still there. We went for a works do and dressed up as wenches and Lords and got leathered on Mead. Everyone was hammered on the stuff and there was lots of shagging ...... apparantly. There's obviously something about drinking and shagging when it comes to Medieval stuff, so mind yourself in Riga

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:28

Well this trip to Riga has done masses for my well-being and energy levels.

You're going to have such a good time on so many levels.

Boco · 27/04/2009 21:28

From what I've seen of the ones i've met, they mostly drink a lot and snog each other and then there's a couple who usually cry.

ahundredtimes · 27/04/2009 21:29

That'll be the art therapists who cry I expect. You'd better take spare pens and paper for them.

mollyroger · 27/04/2009 21:29

Pah. none of the therapists I work with snog each other. But they do cry a lot.

They are all crazy fun though.

TigerFeet · 27/04/2009 21:29

Well I could do snogging and crying.

But not drinking

Bugger
