I know it's Sunday morning an d all that but I have been up all night and my symptoms are freaking me out.

I had piles when I was pregnant, they were painful and bled a little, but that was almost 3 years ago.

Last night I had nasty stomach cramps, diarrhoea and then massive amounts of bleeding from my bottom, including clots . I felt really weak and went to bed. I woke up at about 3am and more lower back pain and cramps, lots more blood loss and no poo, at this point I thought I was going to pass out.

This morning, more blood although less of it, lots of lower back pain, no poo.

I dont think I have external piles, and I was wondering if this sounds "normal" for piles?

Im sorry its so early but really could do with some advice. As you can imagine...a trip to the docs if its not necessary is the last thing I want to do.

Well my wait on NHS was several weeks, I saw my consultant in a few days. He is a lecturer at UCL and a consultant at St Thomas' Hospital. He is a gastroenterologist and a general physician.

I am not precious about private health care..in factdont get me started about the inequalities in healthcare for the poorer parts of the community!

Had more shit news this week. DH lost his job on Monday and admitted to being an alcoholic yesterday after swearing on my life he had not had a drink all day, after me and the kids saw him walking up the road with a can of lager in his hand.

Just all shit.

Oh dear Lord - you really are going through it - wish I could say something to make you feel better. I really really feel for you.

But at least you have us on your side !!

And it is good news that your D?H has admitted to being an alcoholic instead of hiding it - get him to AA asap and get some treatment in place to help him. You need him to be sober and as much help to you as possible.

Are you still pg? Are you coping ok?

HUGE hug coming from this direction

MoreSpamThanGlam · 07/06/2009 00:19

sorry you are miserable, you certainly have a lot on your plate. Is your DH willing to get treatment?
No idea about Picolax but as you are not looking forward to it then commiserations and hope it is not too bad. Good luck on Monday.

piprabbit · 07/06/2009 09:40

Poor MoreSpam, hope it goes OK over the next few days. I had to take Picolax (or similar) before a colonoscopy a couple of years back - very odd experience 'pooing' water - put me off colonic irrigation though

MoreSpamThanGlam · 07/06/2009 11:30

Well ladies - here goes nothing.....cheers!

Joking aside, I am thinking of you and I hope all goes well tomorrow x

MoreSpamThanGlam · 08/06/2009 00:33

Well I'm Picolaxed out (that stuff is vicious!). Ive spent the whole day on the loo and doing essays, but on the plus side got loads of reading done.

Im still deliberating (my stomach is REALLY rumbling) about whether to go with dh tomorrow. He is downstairs on sofa because he is taking kids to school.

Anyway - it doesnt matter really does it?

Im nervous as all hell about tomorrow and not looking forward to it. Thanks again my Bum Babes!

I will report back tomorrow night

x
