I know it's Sunday morning an d all that but I have been up all night and my symptoms are freaking me out.

I had piles when I was pregnant, they were painful and bled a little, but that was almost 3 years ago.

Last night I had nasty stomach cramps, diarrhoea and then massive amounts of bleeding from my bottom, including clots . I felt really weak and went to bed. I woke up at about 3am and more lower back pain and cramps, lots more blood loss and no poo, at this point I thought I was going to pass out.

This morning, more blood although less of it, lots of lower back pain, no poo.

I dont think I have external piles, and I was wondering if this sounds "normal" for piles?

Im sorry its so early but really could do with some advice. As you can imagine...a trip to the docs if its not necessary is the last thing I want to do.

oh, MSTG I was thinking of you today and that you would be getting your results tomorrow. I will be thinking of you even more now.

You really are being pushed to the limits with all these tests. I so hope that whilst they can give you some answers tomorrow to let you know what's wrong, that its nothing serious.

as for me I'm just waiting for my two appt dates to come through and hope I don't have too long to wait. Unfortunately the endoscopy is going to be at the hospital where my DD spent 8 weeks after being transferred for major surgery at 24 hours old two years ago and it will be my first trip back there. Am already thinking which entrance I can use to avoid the one we went through every day so that I don't get flooded with bad memories.

Anyway, I will deal with that on the appt day, for now MSTG I will be thinking of you and hope all goes well

Have followed your thread, MSTG, and was thinking of you this evening - good luck tomorrow, really hope you get some (reassuring) answers.

Thinking of you, MSTG!

ellymae · 16/06/2009 18:45

another bum watcher here hoping that no news is good news. Hope it all went OK yesterday MSTG.

good luck bohemianbint with getting yourself checked out. I think getting yourself to the GP in the first place is always the highest hurdle to clear!

Elibean · 16/06/2009 20:50

Still thinking of you lots, MSTG - and imagine whatever yesterday's outcome, you probably have your hands very full right now.

And you, Ellymae, both with the main issues and with dealing with the memories of the hospital - I can relate, and fwiw for me it turned out to be an opportunity to let go of some anguish and lay a few ghosts, hope it is for you too. xxx

Good for you, BB!

ellymae · 16/06/2009 22:51

thank you elibean, its really good to hear that these things can be overcome (to some extent at least). I know I still haven't completely come to terms with what happened as DD has an underlying health condition that led to the need for surgery in the first place but I know it will be good in the scheme of things to face some of those demons.

thinking of you still MSTG

CountessDracula · 16/06/2009 22:56

Has anyone mentioned Crohn's
If you have had blood/mucus/pain then it could be that
Eating fibre will make it worse while it is bad

Hope you are ok x
