I know it's Sunday morning an d all that but I have been up all night and my symptoms are freaking me out.

I had piles when I was pregnant, they were painful and bled a little, but that was almost 3 years ago.

Last night I had nasty stomach cramps, diarrhoea and then massive amounts of bleeding from my bottom, including clots . I felt really weak and went to bed. I woke up at about 3am and more lower back pain and cramps, lots more blood loss and no poo, at this point I thought I was going to pass out.

This morning, more blood although less of it, lots of lower back pain, no poo.

I dont think I have external piles, and I was wondering if this sounds "normal" for piles?

Im sorry its so early but really could do with some advice. As you can imagine...a trip to the docs if its not necessary is the last thing I want to do.

yes thankfully, would of been nice for her to let everyone know to stop them from worrying though

MoreSpamThanGlam · 08/04/2009 16:49

Im so so sorry and I have been an arse. My results came back fine (blood and xray) but I have not been and collected them, just got an ok from receptionist, but am still bleeding so am assuming its not too sinister.

Im sorry Loopy, and everyone else for that matter. I have been so, so down this week and utterly exhausted, that I have been really selfish.

Sorry for making you worry

Apology accepted - as long as it's from the bottom of your heart

You know, it wouldn't surprise me if you were now anaemic, that would explain the exhaustion. Also, the bleeding still needs checking out, you will get to the bottom of it won't you?

loopylou6 · 08/04/2009 17:17

i cant understand why they haven't done a colonoscopy, surely thats the most useful thing to do

MoreSpamThanGlam · 08/04/2009 17:46

Well....to be really honest, I was supposed to go back and see docs to discuss results...but I thought as the results were fine (over the phone) I didnt need to.

...........................................................I need to make an appointment dont I? Ok..will do it tomorrow.

Oh, and Pringle....dont give up your day job - your jokes are awful

PringlePopper · 08/04/2009 18:56

But on a serious note, YES, you do need to go back to see the doctor. Personally, I'm still worried and will be on bottom watch until we have got to the bottom of this. No pun intended there

ThingOne · 08/04/2009 19:08

There is no limit to shit jokes about bottoms, MSTG.

Keep on pushing until you get a sensible reason for what's going on. Please!

marmitebabe · 08/04/2009 20:26

Oh bum - you have been been the butt of bad jokes - but you really need to get back to the gp and get a referral to find out what is at the bottom of this matter.

There is such a thing as bowel cancer and you need to make sure you don't have it...please make the appt asap and go please {pleading emoticon}

PringlePopper · 08/04/2009 22:36

I absolutely second what marmitebabe says, you must go see your doctor for further investigation. please

smudgethepuppydog · 09/04/2009 07:57

Another one adding to the 'Get thee back to a doctor woman' tone of this thread.

MoreSpamThanGlam · 09/04/2009 09:24

Ok, am on phone waiting for quacks to answer for appointment.

I'll arse-k them when its convenient....Ta-Dum TISH!

MoreSpam, my DH was exhausted when he was bleeding. If you can, go to a health shop and ask for a supplement to boost your Adrenal system. When you are run down this can cause piles, which then wears you out even more.. Good luck

ThingOne · 09/04/2009 09:55

I see you're getting into the swing of crap puns .

BlaDeBla · 09/04/2009 10:12

Ha ha ha ha!Bum titty bum... I hope you're ok, MoreSpam. It's exhausting having a runny tum, and bleeding.

cakewench · 09/04/2009 13:31

Yes, since they've said for you to come discuss the results (as opposed to the usual "if the tests are okay you won't hear back from us, everything is fine! schpiel) it does seem like they'll want to refer you for another test. As mentioned above, it's possible that will mean a colonoscopy.

FWIW, I've had one myself. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world, of course, but when you're showing these sort of symptoms you certainly should rule out all possibilities.

We'll be waiting here!

MoreSpamThanGlam · 09/04/2009 14:52

Got to ring Tueday for same day appointment or wait 8 days...

PringlePopper · 09/04/2009 16:10

Operation Bum Watch continues then.....

I've had a colonoscopy too, like cakewitch says, not the most comfortable or pleasant thing in the world but you can choose to be sedated. It will be worth of for piece of mind.

BlaDeBla · 09/04/2009 17:34

I had a sigmoidoscopy, which was hideous because my bum was raw. Ouch. It was pretty weird being blown up like a balloon through my bum as well. Oh the joys

ChampagneDahling · 13/04/2009 16:41

Bumping you.
How are you feeling? Don't forget to get appt tomorrow and get the ball in motion... thinking of you {{hugs}}

ChampagneDahling · 14/04/2009 10:51

PringlePopper · 14/04/2009 11:57

marmitebabe · 15/04/2009 14:12

So what is happening?? Did you get an appointment yesterday? Tell us more, tell us more etc etc a la grease.... but at least no bum jokes......

cakewench · 15/04/2009 18:11

I'm also waiting! Can someone mention here if this gets moved to another thread? I've marked this one to check directly...

MoreSpamThanGlam · 16/04/2009 09:03
