Help me please! DH been called in hospital, talking of WBC and Bone marrow

DH been unwell for a while and I finally dragged him to GP on Saturday. GP sent him for blood tests that were taken yesterday morning. Had a phone call at 9.30pm last night saying his White cell count was very very high and he needed to go to hospital and they were expecting us.
They rechecked blood and very very high (normal is 4-11, DH had 382!)
They have done chest xray but they just said they think its a blood disorder and something about bone marrow! Of course we are now thinking leukemia
I have had all of one hours sleep as didnt get home till 4am and baby woke at 5am. Im going back once seen DD1 off to school, and they said the hemotologist will be round first thing and we should have more answers then.
Anyone know anything other than cancer that it could be? Docs werent willing to say a lot last night tbh.
We all have to wear masks and gowns and his in isalation!

grr im so mad atm. Been told children arent allowed and also I have to stick to visiting times. Such stupid times too 2.30pm-4.30 I mean honestly smack in middle of school runs and 6.30pm-8pm hmmm think i'll be putting kids to bed!! I wish they could hurry up and move him to cancer ward, then no visiting times, i think.

His in good spirts, feels fine. A little tired and not eating much but peeing loads. Think its hit him today as he keeps crying.

Hope they move him soon Lisa. Poor bloke - neither of you have had much time to get your head around it all.

Im knackered this morning. We stayed at my mums last night, as she had the girls while i went up to see Darren. Jasmine decided to wake at 12am and stay awake till 2am, and Tanisha wet herself too both woke at 6.30am. I need sleep but no chance of that atm. Trying to keep girls quiet as my parents are still asleep.

Im dreading tomorrow. I really dont know if i can handle the ILs and everything that is going on. Im hoping they behave themself. They havent even called for an update at all!! just a few messages on FB!!

I have to go food shopping today, seems such a silly thing to be doing when all this is happening. Have a friedn bringing us dinner tonight so thats lovely. Mums done all my washing and tidied the house, so all i need to do today is hoover and doing one loads of washing and strip bed (dont know if i can be arsed)

the logs helping, but Darren has been reading it, and i worry it will make him feel bad iyswim.
another day begins...

Lots of love to you again Lisa and make sure you ask for help and accept it when offered. Misdee can do the beds and the hoovering and you can try and put your feet up for an hour or so.
