For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I don't know anything about CCF! Don't sympathise, I am not worthy

Boco · 12/03/2009 20:59

Molly it's only £7 something on Amazon with free delivery - is hardly worth paying the postage on a borrowed copy there and back.

Tatties that sounds frustrating. Hope you have a good knit.

pinkspottywellies · 12/03/2009 21:12

rose cammomile and lavender tea is nicer than i expected. I've been over-doing the tea and coffee lately so will have this more now instead. Thanks lovely 10/10ers

mollyroger · 12/03/2009 21:13

mollyroger · 12/03/2009 21:15

Boco · 12/03/2009 21:23

Franny you will not be last because although I do have the book and have looked at the picture of the author and read the first two pages, I have decided to save it for Easter because between now and then have so much on. At Easter I will have 11 days off and some of them will be somehwere where I don't have to do any cooking or housework and can slope off for long baths with books without anyone coming to play fishing games wih me

I haven;t seen the life aquatic and now it is top of my wish list.

LR hope DD has a lovely day tomorrow.

DS is 5 on Monday

Tatties hope you are feeling calmer this evening? I have had dreadful week of PMT so far.

BBBee · 12/03/2009 21:53

I am back from sainsburys boco

(boco is my stalker see - she makes me check in)

Tatties · 12/03/2009 22:26

Oh FK you too with the PMT it is wretched isn't it. I have been charting my cycles though and I have found that quite helpful - I do seem to feel the same way at certain points of the month, and it kind of helps to know, eg - on day 17 I always feel crap, etc.. iyswim. I must add that my cycle charting is absolutely not for ttc purposes!

Dp has bought a Japanese phrasebook. He wants us to go to Japan next year

SuperBunny · 12/03/2009 22:49

OMG Atilla, I think I'd have probably lost all control. Are you ok? Stupid, stupid boys.

Tatties, hope you are ok. All sounds a bit infuriating.

I have nt been patient today

Um, raisins. Plus whatever I ate earlier. Dunno. Am off out. Hurrah!

BBBee · 13/03/2009 00:42

my book came today - it is rather and very lovely isn't it? I had to go to sainsburys for red noses and so bought wine and will sit now and read book.

it is all rather exciting.

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 13/03/2009 02:39

Our house is a bit of an open one to local children as I think we are fairly laid back, so I think my rant made an impression. Lots of denials then a joint kevin style 'sorry' DS got a special Mummy rant later though. I am puttin it to the back of my mind now as it doesn't bear thinking about.

at cat going on trip!!

Tatties ...You could try putting a couple of drops of citronella on the light bulb, it might deter the fruit flies.

I am also a pre-minstrel miserable git.

I knit in bed with 100's book on my knee in the evenings when my anaemia is bad..it is quite a pleasant way to ail.
The biggest surprise about the book so far is that I had pictured you as Afro-Caribbean... I don't read many novels, more reference books, but am enjoying it very much, the style of writing is very 'personable'......easy to relate to, which draws you in to the story very quickly IYSWIM.

very very very!!!! lol

The children are dressing up as the opposite sek for Red nose day. I got DD a fabulous little suit jacket....does anyone want it when she has done with it? It would fit a small 4 yr old.

Going to play scrabble on FB now....ta ta!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/03/2009 08:26

OMG Atilla I would have gone ape-shit. I hope they understand how stupid and dangerous it was

pink I read somewhere that blonde hair is linked to high oestrogen levels. As you get older your levels tend to drop and each pregnancy just drains the life oestrogen out of you as well. Hence the darker roots maybe?

Oh, I am getting excited about reading 100's book now, especially page 203.

Oh, and who had that lovely sounding tea, and where did they get it from?

I have found an ally in avi

womblingalong · 13/03/2009 08:30

Shit Atilla, you must have been so scared.

It reminds me of a story that DH tells of playing with his two older brothers and friends. The game involved a blindfolded boy with a dart, who was spun round and was then encouraged to chuck aforesaid dart and try to land it in/on one of the other boys. His middle brother got the dart stuck into his forehead!

Atilla my DD is a very petite 4, how old is yours?

womblingalong · 13/03/2009 08:32

DD has to dress funny for money at school today, so has about 40 clips in her hair, and is wearing a stripy mutlicoloured T shirt, a floral summer dress, jeans, odd socks and shoes and a tutu with her red nose. She looks V cute.

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 13/03/2009 08:43

They do now Lemur.

I have been mindbogglingly busy this week, which is not a bad thing, but haven't got the day off.....

I am planning to get finished by the afternoon and get a run in though. A fabulous day for it.

So, I am not here, and if I appear, lob things at me.

And thank-you all for kind words and support over the last few weeks....

Have a fab day to all.....

FrannyandZooey · 13/03/2009 09:31

OP posts:
AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 13/03/2009 09:35

Franny, Toot is.......erm....e-mail her?

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 13/03/2009 09:36

Please..........

Guadalupe · 13/03/2009 10:12

Poor dd is ill and gutted because they were supposed to wear pyjamas to school today. She went to bed at 6pm with no dinner and is white as a sheet with a temp. I am better she croaked.

Atilla - How is it that you can run so far some days but feel barely able to move other days. Is it a cyclical thing? I don't think I could run that far even in optimum health. Does it not exhaust you if you aneamic, is it anemaia you have?

We don't have any fruit.

Yes, where is Toot?

pinkspottywellies · 13/03/2009 10:13

Wombling she sounds gorgeous!! My friend's 10 yr old ds is going dressed as a girl. He's so funny!!

Interesting about the blonde thing lemur. We talked about going brown again. I usually go brown when it's long and then hate it, unless I'm really tanned. I also need to wear make-up all the time when my hair's dark or I look patchy and wishy washy. But might try dark and short next time.

Hospital today for hearing test. Wish ds luck!

Oh just seen the red nose smilies

AtillaTheHairyArsedTrucker · 13/03/2009 10:40

Guad.....I shouldn't really run much at all, but it helps deal with stress...
I drink a can of red-bull first and then go...

It does exhaust me but sometimes the mental benefits overweigh the other side.
There is probablt a link to the days I have run and then the days I feel so dreadful but I try not to think about it. I have cut down so so much as I don't want to hinder my own recovery. The rowing machine is great because I can do 5 or 10 minutes and feel as if I have done something....

I walk instead when I can at the moment but it isn't the same.

I am sounding defensive...., i sort of was hoping no-one would notice....

Poor dd... they hate to miss out don't they?
And fingers crossed pink....

I am not here, but between jobs and was passing the computer.....
