For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Lullabyloo · 04/03/2009 21:15

Ooooooooooooh hello chaps
just rushing in to say I was just huddled up reading a magazine & on it's 'The best things in life page this month' it recommends 100's book!
I'm still awaiting my copy from Amazon.....
Hope everyone's ok x

pointydog · 04/03/2009 21:15

well, if I'd written a book I wouldn't want the hoi polloi to know me by my trail of inane message-board smart-aleckry. I'd keep it private. I mean, even boco is freaking me out.

pointydog · 04/03/2009 21:16

so I can understand if you have privacy ishoos, is what I meant

mollyroger · 04/03/2009 21:21

Hello lovely Lulkly, how are you? I'm off to bed with a book. But sadly not 100s.

TooTicky · 04/03/2009 21:31

I daresay you have all talked lots today.....

Got back from hosp less than an hour ago and in bed already

Oh 100x, I like it lots. I read 82 pages at the hospital and can't decide whether to gollop the rest or savour it. It is very you. Brilliant.

Hospital went okay, am knackered and dehydrated. Ds2 quite perky considering.

FrayedKnot · 04/03/2009 21:31

Crocs - no way never whatsoeva

The book - I am going to go and buy it in a shop and run round with above my head squeaking but this won;t happen until Friday. Just in case you thought I was being supiciously silent, 100.

The fruit & veg - yes, I had a salad, apples, kiwis, and vegful pasta sauce.

Othersideofthechannel · 04/03/2009 21:32

ahem, would it be very rude of me to pop my nose in here and ask FrannyandZooey to look at my UP thread in Parenting?

pointydog · 04/03/2009 21:38

not so good on teh fruitery today.

sultana bran (a woman of habit on weekdays)
m&s edamame bean salads
m&s bulghar whaet greek style salads

later I will eat one, maybe two, pears

Boco · 04/03/2009 21:40

What do you mean 'even' Boco is freaking you out Pointy? In a way, is that a kind of hidden compliment, because it means that I'm not usually the type to freak someone out? Thanks very much

I am only joking about seeing your personal data though. Honestly. It's just, being a compulsive sharer makes me want to bug private people. A tiny bit. I won't do it anymore.

Guadalupe · 04/03/2009 21:41

God, I AM SO HUNGERY. I could murder a greek salad.

FrayedKnot · 04/03/2009 21:48

TooT glad everything went OK, hope you are having a big cup of tea or something.

Oh bugger

I made a casserole for tomorrow night

I accidentally put it back in the oven when I was meaning to leave it out because it was done. And it's charred to nothing.

Fuck.

Guadalupe · 04/03/2009 21:49

Oh no, Fk. I hate that.

Toot - glad all was well

FrayedKnot · 04/03/2009 21:54

Want some casserole, Guad?

It's only a little bit burnt

Boco I would be genuinely interested in doing a course like that. I am feeling very unfocussed (well apart from 10/10) and don;t seem to find the space in my head to think about things much - it's all a bit giant hamster wheel. A retreat would be wonderful.

FrannyandZooey · 04/03/2009 21:58

cor pointy that didn#t half sound like you were saying 100 does inane message-board smart-aleckry

oh toot you swot
i've only read 56 pages
i've laughed quite a bit
glad at ds's perkiness

oh fk
oh no

OP posts:
pointydog · 04/03/2009 22:06

oh dear, no, no. I do inanae smart-aleckry.

100 sounds very breezy while intelligent, both atthe same time.

yes, boco, I know you don't really want to poke about for info at all but I can't help my eyes widening in imitation terror at the thought

ahundredtimes · 04/03/2009 22:38

LOL. I do do smart aleckry of this I am sure, I might just do it in a breezy way. See? That's such a smart aleck thing to say.

Do you have Cat Pointy? Cat me if you want, or find someone who has my email address and I'll link it for you? Do you do Cat? I'd give you my email address but it is my name, so.

FK. Don't be daft.

Thank you TooT - that's such a nice thing to say. Honestly. Really, it means a lot.

Shall we stop talking about it now. Let's talk about fruit and vegetables. And casseroles.

FK what did you eat instead?
