For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Morning!

LOL Franny at baby rice and spoons We did BLW after a false start with purees, but some things I did end up spoon-feeding anyway, mainly because I couldn't handle the mess of certain things that were just too hard for ds to manage by himself, and he seemed quite happy with that arrangement
Ok, it might not be BLW to the letter of the law but who cares?!

Good luck indeed TooT

littlerach · 05/03/2009 09:44

Glad TooTleT is okay.

Am in process of oredring 100's book and will put it to the Top of my Pile.

pinkspottywellies · 05/03/2009 12:03

Oh I'm so excited about The Book!!!! Especially now that TooT says it's very like you 100x

Er, cornflakes, cadburys cream egg, cup of tea. Not very good vegging in the Pink corner but I had a lie in and dh has been in charge. He is wonderful He's now out with dd buying things for my car, like polish and new mats and no doubt an air freshener.

We have in-laws visiting this afternoon. Our visitors are very well behaved and bring food

I burst into tears in Marks and Spencer's baby change room yesterday cause DH mentioned going back to work It will be fine, it will be fine, it will be fine,

ahundredtimes · 05/03/2009 13:17

Thank you team. I think you're all heroic and marvellous and I really really appreciate it.

Guadalupe · 05/03/2009 13:31

Well,I feel quite left out as mine is not here yet.

Gorgeous day.

I am smiling at the buildres today because they have managed to leave the pitched roof in my utility room. They thought they had to level it because of plumbing. This means I can have one of those laundry airers that I can whizz up high on a pulley. This pleases me.

womblingalong · 05/03/2009 13:38

Oh Guad,

I can join your club as mine is not here yet either.

womblingalong · 05/03/2009 13:39

I have sever utility room and laundry pully thing

My house is always like a chinese laundry.

womblingalong · 05/03/2009 13:40

Sorry 'severe' and 'pulley'. Gah, so much for quick typing.

TigerFeet · 05/03/2009 13:45

Hello lovelies

Had my scan this morning. I am 12+5 and have one little healthy wriggling baby in there .

I am, apparently, too fat for a waterbirth. By about 1 kilo. I am cross. I need to to Get MillieTant, I would adore a waterbirth, and I mean, 1 kilo ffs. But I am tired and don't have the energy for a row. Good job I have another 6 months in which to argue campaign be persuasive.

I shall go back and read the thread now I've got that off my chest.

littlerach · 05/03/2009 15:35

1 kilo Tiger
madness.

Pink, it will be okay.
Course it will.

Carrot
celery
raisins
Grapes (hundredes of them)
banana

It is sunny, but rather cold, today.
Wsahing is on line.
Exercise?
Um, hoovering, moving a bit of furniture.

pinkspottywellies · 05/03/2009 15:37

Why is there a weight limit for waterbirth? Is it in case they have to get you out in an emergency? Hope you manage to convince
them and glad to hear all is well (and there's only 1!)

Guad, good news on the roof. Hooray for the builders

FrannyandZooey · 05/03/2009 15:39

pink it really will be ok

tiger i like your plan of saving this battle till later

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 05/03/2009 15:55

Pink- you will be absolutely fine. It's really hard thinking of coping with two for the first time but you will get used to it really quickly.

Congrats, Tiger! An important milestone isn't it, that scan and being twelve weeks.

Wombling- that's exactly how my house is now, bloody piles of washing in various stages all the house. Then there is the BIG pile, the one where things have got in a muddle and I'm not sure if it's clean or dirty or whose is what and when this gets really big it falls over and I am forced to sort it and then we find everything we have been missing for weeks.

Guadalupe · 05/03/2009 15:56

DD is watching some junior ballroom dancing and she just said, mummy, I don't know why they call it boring, I think it's really good.

pollycazalet · 05/03/2009 15:59

I am such an infrequent contributor will I be drummed off the thread?

Pink - it WILL be fine. It's daunting to think about though I know. A friend of mine told me that seeing me cope solo with my two put her off having another for at least 6 months! Mt ds did decide to potty train himself when dd was a week old though......

Book thing sound v exciting 100 - are you famous or is it your first?

pollycazalet · 05/03/2009 16:01

arf at boring dancer.

My dd asked me last night why hair on your fanny is called public hair when no-one can see it.
