Its six months overdue and I've made an appointment for a week today.

Hey all, not sure if anyone actually remembers or seen my post about going on 5th March but I went... I almost cancelled at the last minute but went in the end!!!

It was myfirst ever smear and I have to say the etst did'nt even bother me one bit not even when I had to strip LOL the nurse was fab though, kept distracting me asking about my son and about my work etc then she said I had been fab but a little tense so not to worry if I need to go back because most people are tense at first so don't know if had enough cells.

It took about 5 minutes all in I think. Will go again next time carefree the waiting for results is a bit horrible but as far as I know I have'nt had anything to worry about, fingers crossed

Yay, well done. It's not so bad, is it? Waiting for it is worse than the test.

I saw the Jade Goody programme earlier and this thread was featured. I recognised 'Peachy' and 'Eyeballsinthesky' and 'FrumpyGrumpy'.

I had a follow up for mild changes in December and they haven't posted any results. I'm prompted now to ring up and check.

I went for a smear on friday because of Jade.

How fantastic!!! Just for the record, my cancelled smear from last Monday was done today, we played hunt the cervix but only a tiny bit. On Saturday the Veet splurged into areas known only to midwives and left one side a little 'crispy'. However, the adorable nurse said nothing and was adorable throughout.

And......

I TOOK MY SOCKS OFF! [brazen baggage] I know. I live life on the edge.

Had my (much dreaded) smear today thanks to Jade and am very relieved thats its over for another 3yrs

I just realised the post they showed of mine was this one as follows - am watching again to see if they showed ALL OF IT - including doc looking at fanjo -

"Well done all those who have booked one - mine are 6mthly at the monent after having abnormal results for 3years and then finally had treatment to remove it in Oct.

Even if they do find abnormalities, they can remove it and its not that bad believe me - it's just like having a smear, but it takes a bit longer. I've come to the conclusion that the doc doesn't know me by my face anymore - he takes a look at my fanjo and says "Oh yes its Mrs Red"

So, if anyone is still thinking of booking - get on the phone now! please!"

there may be people that dont like her, but i think she is fabulous for what she has done - i wish her a peaceful passing and for those boys of hers to live happy fulfilled lives.
