Original post by the lovely FrannyandZooey

For anyone who wants to boost their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - If you don't normally eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 mins is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restictions on what you eat as long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving your energy levels and hopefully mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you are getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 30/01/2009 19:42

The poor little mite. You both must be utterly shattered. I wish I could think of some suggestions to help you both out.

FrannyandZooey · 30/01/2009 19:42

he is swaddled so can't really scratch properly but he wants to

FrannyandZooey · 30/01/2009 19:43

lemur thanks it is ok

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 30/01/2009 19:43

I refuse to make packed lunches for dh. IMO it is the shittest of shitty jobs. You deserve a bloody medal Pink.

Guadalupe · 30/01/2009 19:46

I bloody hope not. Pink, you know you can get people to come to the house and take his shirts away don't you? Or rather he can.

I arrived home once while someone delivered dh his shirts and they had the audacity to say to me, 'saves you a job eh love'.

I looked at them and they scurried away in their 'Press Ahead' van or whatever it was called.

stuffitllama · 30/01/2009 19:47

fark i did iron one of his shirts
his old goth shirt that should be thrown in the bin
but pink i'm not 20 days away from producing an extra person
i think you are allowed to scrub floors for optimum foetal positioning though

stuffitllama · 30/01/2009 19:48

franny are you allowed a gin and lime
do you think it would help

stuffitllama · 30/01/2009 19:50

oh
feeding.. probably not

ahundredtimes · 30/01/2009 19:52

lol @ press ahead.

Pink you are making lunches for his friend? Pink? Come and talk to us sisters about this a minute.

TooT - what horror. Nothing wrong with bourbon biscuits. Give everyone some drugs and send them to bed? [mary poppins moment there]

Franny - Yes I am counting and yes I am excited. I got my first finished copy yesterday. Is beautiful.

Guadalupe · 30/01/2009 19:54

Ooooh, I can't wait either.

FrannyandZooey · 30/01/2009 19:55

oh 100 how funny
it was yesterday i was thinking about you but i didn't remember to mention it on here
what does it look like?

pinkspottywellies · 30/01/2009 19:55

I make the lunches cause DH used to spend ££££ at the garage every day and when I stopped working I said he wasn't allowed to buy lunch any more, so I offered the alternative that I would make it. I don't make loads from making friend's lunch but we were economising on things like having shit plastic bread so I now buy nice bread with the extra money.

I don't iron his shirts. (DH or friend!) I would but he won't put them away. I've ironed a week's worth in the past and he shoves them in a heap and last year he asked to me to iron him a shirt one morning which I had already done about 3 days before. So I stopped doing it. I usually do him one for the next day if I'm ironing anyway.

Now I'm going to make french toast

Guadalupe · 30/01/2009 19:56

But, but, why can't HE do it?

pinkspottywellies · 30/01/2009 19:57

Fran don't you get fined if you haven't done it by tomorrow?

ahundredtimes · 30/01/2009 19:57

Have you seen the cover? Only it's better in real life because it feels quite substantial and dark but also quite sexy. I'm not describing v. well. Also embossed letters. Also my name. [faints]

FrannyandZooey · 30/01/2009 19:58

sorry pink
was not meaning to make you justify yourself
i am sure you are capable of running your house in a fair way to suit yourself
but you are really quite cheery and probably quite long suffering if you wanted to be so we worry, you see

FrannyandZooey · 30/01/2009 19:58

pink yes
that is why i am reading it now

pinkspottywellies · 30/01/2009 19:58

Cause he'd do it all wrong and mess up my kitchen
