Original post by the lovely FrannyandZooey

For anyone who wants to boost their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - If you don't normally eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 mins is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restictions on what you eat as long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving your energy levels and hopefully mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you are getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

FrannyandZooey · 01/02/2009 18:21

and with that menu - it was SO a party

TigerFeet · 01/02/2009 18:28

Avi did you do the chocolate fondant yourself? The kind of ones that always collapse on masterchef?

I like going to BabiesEverywhere's house, she lends me her laptop so I can MN. A true friend

I should go to work tomorrow. I still feel incredibly feeble though. Still not eating well at all despite drugs which are helping. The drive fills me with fear tbh.

mollyroger · 01/02/2009 18:28

yummmmmmmm Avi.

No postage on dishwasher - it was pick up only - in our town!!

TooTicky · 01/02/2009 18:29

i shall take my ignored salsify and leave

Guadalupe · 01/02/2009 18:31

I drove our car today. This sounds insigniicant but it was a baptism of fire. There was a blizzard after ds1's match and we were all bent in the wind to the car when dh says we can't get pram and bike in the car.

I impart my feelings that I am displeased at this late revelation and he threw the keys at me and walked off into the snow. And didn't come back. Ds2 was crying, ds1 said mummy I can't walk home my hands are so cold and dd just did up her seatbelt and looked the other way. So, I either got them all out to walk home in the blizzard or I drove. So I did, and I was pretty good I must say, and despite the end of it being miles away (volvo) I didn't hit anything going round the corner.

Whe I have my last lesson tomorrow, I will be able to say I have kept my promise!

Pork was meagre, but delicious. Dh only just got home despite my brother having been and gone for food. I am Quite Annoyed with him.

TigerFeet · 01/02/2009 18:31

you jammy bugger Molly! We have no dishwasher. Our kitchen is the size of a postage stamp so nowhere to plumb one in.

Guadalupe · 01/02/2009 18:31

I agree, Polly does seem very familiar.

TigerFeet · 01/02/2009 18:34

I have a feeling I am missing something, pollywise, iyswim, but then I was always slow on the uptake

Could someone email me about 100's book? I am too dim to find it on strength of hints dropped on here.

When I was a teenager I was considered incredibly intelligent Clearly they were wrong.

TooTicky · 01/02/2009 18:35

Guad, I shall congratulate you if you say something nice about my salsify.

SuperBunny · 01/02/2009 18:40

Avi, chocolate fondant doesn't count

Salad leaves x 2
sultanas

TooTicky · 01/02/2009 18:42

2 whole leaves? Wow.

BBBee · 01/02/2009 18:44

CAPERS!

I forgot to say he scattered capers all over the lentils.

that was the divine bit.

fucktart (me not my dad)

as you were

TooTicky · 01/02/2009 18:49
SuperBunny · 01/02/2009 18:52

Two WHOLE bowls of leaves, TooT!

I lurve capers. We have them on everything. Almost everything - I told DS he couldn't have them on his weetabix and he cried. No idea why I wouldn't let him - just because it sounds vile to me doesn't mean he wouldn't like it. Was a bit of a silly thing to do really. It wasn't as if i had to eat it.

Guadalupe · 01/02/2009 18:55

salsiy very good, toot.

I had puy lentil salad the other night with spit chicken. It had herbs, garlic and lemon in it, I might try capers next time.

TooTicky · 01/02/2009 18:58

That was truly heroic driving Guad.

pollycazalet · 01/02/2009 19:00

Oooh I like this slight air of mystery.....

I am a name changer but not for moldie related reasons. I like to ring the changes . I have been around for a long time but take long breaks, particularly when the site gets tetchy/ eats itself.

Must go and play pictureka with chillun. Almost bedtime.
