Original post by the lovely FrannyandZooey

For anyone who wants to boost their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - If you don't normally eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 mins is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restictions on what you eat as long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving your energy levels and hopefully mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you are getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Yay! TooT's got a laptop and is being all decadent and MNing in bed

I'm trying to stop doing anything. I had to carry dd to the toilet at a bit of a sprint twice in town though We had tea out so I didn't have to cook.

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 22:58

NO! Can you get a courtesy computer like if your car breaks down?

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 23:01

Well maybe he's right about the shoddy genes Tell your mother it's all her fault! Does she pronounce his name right yet btw?

FrannyandZooey · 31/01/2009 23:04

nope

it is now so unusual for someone to say it right that when someone does it i want to kiss them

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 23:07

Oh dear. Do you kiss them? Could get embarrassing...

It is the sh way isn't it? That's how I think it then I worry that I've heard so much about the see way because of the people who say it wrong and worry that I've got it all muddled!

FrannyandZooey · 31/01/2009 23:09

yes with a sh
not that hard is it

FrannyandZooey · 31/01/2009 23:10

pink GO TO BED
seriously
you aren't ironing are you?

listen, don't take any more raspberry leaf either
maybe it didn't agree with you

SuperBunny · 31/01/2009 23:13

No courtesy computer, Pink. I did ask about a courtesey computer

FairLadyRantALot · 31/01/2009 23:16

huh...was it said with the c, rather than the sh american way?
Oh I am loosing it I think, sigh...

SuperBunny · 31/01/2009 23:16

Yes, GO TO BED, Pink

Franny, one of my pet peeves is people not getting names right. It's ok to make a mistake once or if it is a very tricky one to pronounce but I think if they have been told once, it is just rude to keep getting it wrong.

FairLadyRantALot · 31/01/2009 23:18

it is so funny, people tend to get Sven and Yannic perfectly right, but have problems with Flynn, calling him Finn....surely Flynn's name should be the easiest out of the 3...

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 23:19

OK!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to bed. No I wasn't ironing but I was doing the books for the toddler group. I'm the treasurer.

SB did you really ask?! Can you go to the library and use a pc or anything? If you get desperate.

And no, sh is not hard Franny. People are just wierd. People don't like the name we've chosen for ds (argh never written that before!!!!!!!! ) - we haven't told anyone we've decided but we did mention it to some people before and didn't get very good reactions from most (including 'noone would call thier baby that - Pink's just winding us up' and general snorting tea out of thier nose at the ridiculousness). Ah well hopefully no-one will actually say anything when we introduce him!

Anyway. I've been sent to bed so night night.

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 23:20

Oh Pink, how horrid! I bet it's a fabulous name.

FrannyandZooey · 31/01/2009 23:22

cannot wait to hear name pink

fairlady, our L is with the sh sound but people say it cee, the french way. I like that name but it isn't his name. they also spell it with an e rather than an a

ho hum
he is little sweet parcel wrapped up in my lap
his little chin is going up and down in his sleep like they do when they dream of milk

FrannyandZooey · 31/01/2009 23:23

oh i hope it is REALLY outre pink

oh i can't WAIT

good for you

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 23:23

I'm the same Fairlady - not only about pronouncing but spelling names right. [pedant]

We have a book called The Magic Donkey Ride and the little boy's called Flynn. It's wonderful! Look here it is

FairLadyRantALot · 31/01/2009 23:24

aww pink...
thing is,once a child has a name it works anywya, iykwim...

my MIL always says, oh what is he called again (about any 3 of my boys) and I say which ever name I think she is looking for...than she will say oh, well, if you had called them something normal...now this woman can't remember her daughters childrens names who are completely normal english names...so, not sure it really would have made a difference...

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 23:25

People often get my dcs' names rong. I am resignedly used to it.
