Original post by the lovely FrannyandZooey

For anyone who wants to boost their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - If you don't normally eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 mins is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restictions on what you eat as long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving your energy levels and hopefully mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you are getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

TinySparklyWhiteFeather · 31/01/2009 18:48

I'm with DH molly....did Tarrentino direct it by any chance....?

Give me 'From dusk 'till dawn' or 'Blade' any day of the week!!

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 18:51

excellent

i wish my boys could have been like William

it's what my 9yo needs now -- to be put out of the house at 0900 on Saturday morning with a licorice stick and his dog and set up plans and climb trees and fight in ditches until it gets dark when he comes home with his collar torn

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 18:51

Oh, everybody is going moany again!
Does anybody want to come and entertain some miserable/in pain people?

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 18:52

We had fried, breaded manchego at the tapas place with my sister last weekend. Very yummy

Oh Wombling would you be speaking to DH anyway? You can always tell him what's going on and he might offer to come home!

Gosh Feather. A darling. Congratulations - you must be very proud

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 18:52

yes, they could do with that freedom

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 18:53

ok I'm game Toot
I can make my eyes move in different directions
I can also put my hands flat on the floor with my legs straight standing up

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 18:55

Awww, Pink, that is lovely
Did you give her a sticker?

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 18:56

Great Stuffit. How soon can you be here?
Oh, and dd2 adores craft activities...

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 18:56

Aw @ rosette

I tried to convince DH that Atonement is a war film I still haven't watched it.

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 18:57

So Toot how are all the children

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 18:58

I can make a curious bone-grinding noise in my ankle and a much admired impression of Donald Duck washing his face.

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 18:59

DD doesn't get stickers for being good TooT. Stickers are for grown ups

Stuffit I could usually put my hands on the floor with my legs straight but don't think I could at the moment. Now, of course, I'm going to have to find out. Can someone call DH if I'm not back in 10 mins - I may be stuck

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 18:59

what? never mind the children explain the donald duck thing

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 19:00

Ds1 in much pain again plus headache.
Ds2 perking up a bit but so moany.
Dd2 keeps dissolving into tears when I won't let her annoy ds1.

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 19:00

I wouldn't recommend it as a birthing position

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 19:00

Stuffit, I'll show you one day

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 19:01
stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 19:02

wish I had magic wand .. how long does the pain last for ds1 have they told you?

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 19:03

get down there
just walk your fingers along your feet

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 19:03

Oh my God Lemur. I'd missed the price of your haircut - just saw feather's post and had to look back through My SIL does mine for free and is brilliant, and just recently decided that although we don't have to pay her, DH can wash her car when she cuts our hair, which suits me nicely cause I didn't like to give her nothing at all

TooTicky · 31/01/2009 19:04

No, I don't know.

Fingertips on floor with straight legs btw. Haven't tried for ages though so not too bad.
