Original post by the lovely FrannyandZooey

For anyone who wants to boost their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - If you don't normally eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 mins is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restictions on what you eat as long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving your energy levels and hopefully mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you are getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

What did Lemur pay for her haircut?

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 19:05

well it's something to practise when the children have gone to bed

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 19:12

Just read 'get down there' and wondered if it was aimed at me!! I can get my fingers flat but not palms. Haven't kept up with the yoga this time so bet if I practice for the next few weeks I'll be able to by the time I go into labour!!

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 19:12

£98 for cut and colour.

ahundredtimes · 31/01/2009 19:15

Why is stuffit having a fit of pique and a not very nice time? Where are you? Are you the person who moved from Blgm to I? Is that right?

I regret saying now that I remember everything.

ahundredtimes · 31/01/2009 19:16

PSW you have quite a handy jobs share thing going on in your neighbourhood don't you? With the lunches and the haircuts and the car washing? I'm impressed.

TinySparklyWhiteFeather · 31/01/2009 19:17

Awwww, for your DD pink. Aren't they fab Pink?

And you and your poor DC's Toot...wishing you all a better day tomorrow.

I am not even going to try to get in the position you described pink, but give yourself a sticker...I have gone cross-eyed!

My neck does bone grinding, but it makes me feel sick, cos I hear it in my head...or is that just the voices?!

I am still sparkly but my body is doing the thing where I am like a ragdoll and all floppy and slightly tipsy with tiredness. And I giggle at everything and get funny looks....

Stuffit, we have almost achieved that with DS....(10). He rambles back to the door with a gang of friends, raids the fridge or my purse, and disappears to wreak havoc play.

I barely have the energy to sit upright in my chair, so am I calling it a night.....'it's a night'!!.....groan

You are all truly fabulous and deserve stickers and badges and party bags filled with your heart's desires.

.....xxxx

Do you know anyone that would like to come and paint 6 rooms in exchange for erm, a cup of tea?

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 19:18

BTW I think the iron must've been exactly what I needed. On Wed I couldn't taste it in oj and thought it was quite yummy in a small glass of water How I've got it in twice as much water and it tastes really metally and yuk

womblingalong · 31/01/2009 19:24

Hve popped down to fetch more milk for DS in middle of bedtime routine have spoken to DH, must dash, will pop back in once my DC's are in bed.

SuperBunny · 31/01/2009 19:29

Wombling, sounds awful. Sorry. Do you have a kind friend or neighbour who could give you a break for an hour or 2?

Am glad you are feeling a bit better, pink.

Hope everyone is ok.

I am feeling decidedly glum and want to go to bed. It is only 1:30 though

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 19:29

I want to start a thread but I fear people will tell me to ring the midwife. If I tell you lot what's happened will you tell me it's fine and it happens to everyone and it's not what they're looking for when they say ring immediately if.....

Please?

FrannyandZooey · 31/01/2009 19:36

oh pink really do you feel better at all? oh i do hope so but you don't have to be polite if not

i pay that for mine as well lemur, because we live in the southeast innit

i forgot to say I WENT TO THE GYM
50 mins

then probably ruined it by having fried breakfast in the cafe but there was not much dairy free
it had beans and mushrooms in it
ds2 very funny, was sat at table when food arrived and immediately leant over and grabbed both pieces of toast off my plate, one in each hand
i removed them and he lunged and got 2 handfuls of ds1's omelette instead
i think this is what they call baby led weaning

stuffitllama · 31/01/2009 19:50

100 that was then, it was tougher than I expected, but yes that's me, it was a fit of pique with an entire country

pinkspottywellies · 31/01/2009 19:50

I'm 37 weeks. (Feeling much better than Wed/Thurs and haven't cried since Thurs morning even with the car keys incident.)

Tonight on the way back from town my vision went blurry - like water ripples. That lasted for maybe 15 mins and I couldn't see properly. Then it subsided but I got a headache which I still have. Then when we got back from dinner I brought some stuff in from the car and went to get dd's milk and my fingers went numb - starting with my thumb and along each finger. Anyway, that's finished now too. Still left with headache. Have taken paracetamol now which was probably silly but head still hurts.

So itchy hands (although not numb), blurred vision and severre headaches are on the list of things to ring your mw immediately (bold in notes!) if they occur. But they've gone now, so it's fine and we'll just leave it but if it comes back I'll ring. Ok? All fine. I knew you'd agree
