For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

hope DS doesn't make himself sick has a good time Guad!

DeathProof was not, IMO, Tarrentinos greatest film. It lacked his usual dark humour which for me takes the edge off the gratuitous violence. As a result it had a very 'gritty realism' to it, which given it's violent content, bordered on voyeurism and didn't have his usual watchability factor.

However the cinematography was, as expected, exemplarary, and possibly just for that I would include it in my collection.

banana,
satsumas x 2,
juice,
tomatoes x 2
peppers,
spinach,
onions,
mango

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 25/01/2009 19:50

I have cinema envy, I haven't been for ages. I love spending far too much money on popcorn and sweets and then feeling sick from too much sugar

What did you pack Molly? Lots of stuff with sugar, colourings and additives I hope

FrayedKnot · 25/01/2009 19:55

TooT I think it sounds very much like it could be related to ovulation. Although you should mention it tomorrow. I occasionally get ovulation pain and it really hurts - but only perhaps once a year or so.

This weekend has been a complete write off. I spent most of yesterday in bed, then today it poured all day, DH now feeling ill, we stayed in, and it was a very looooong day. I feel better than I did but horrible acidy indigestion so I have to keep bending forward every few minutes.

I am a Rooster. I think it means I am bossy. DH is a rat, which I think means we don;t really get on that well , and DS is a monkey. Which fits .

Hope Slumdog is good Guad.

FrayedKnot · 25/01/2009 19:59

I have Moor , too, Feather

It's great when you have somehwere you can go and feel some kind of spiritual exhileration.

FrayedKnot · 25/01/2009 19:59

SuperBunny · 25/01/2009 20:09

Toot, I think a meeting is still worth a shot re poss Aspergers. Reports sounds good and I am glad she is doing well. What is fruit spread? Hurrah for cleanliness. I don't think you need to panic about bleeding. But def mention tomorrow.

Um no F&V & no exercise.

TinyWhiteFeather · 25/01/2009 20:22

Molly, hope ds has a fabuloso time and ample commestibles.

FK, sorry your weekend was naff.

I am going to bed, am half afraid I will be up early.

Thank you for bearing with me and being kind and not running away when I was sharing details

pinkspottywellies · 25/01/2009 20:25

I'm baaaaaaack

Didn't read the last thread but skimmed this one.

Franny I've e-mailed you back - got both but just haven't checked over the weekend.

TooT I'll be there holding your hand at the doctors tomorrow and being all caring and reassuring - and if you 'forget' to tell her any of the things you're worrying about I will squeeze your hand until you get brave and blurt it all out Honestly, don't worry about any of it. The best thing you can do is tell the doc and start finding out what's wrong and how to get better. Wishing you strength and grit (and glaring menacingly to make sure you tell her everything) ((((((TooT)))))

I had a lovely weekend sleeping at my sister's. We played rock band and lips on xbox and ate sweets fruit and had dinner out for almost free with tesco vouchers. I wish it had been a day longer but it was lovely to get back to DH and DD (who actually missed me ). It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow - 7 years!!

Anyway hope you're all well. Not going to hang around here too long cause I'm still tired!! Let me know if I've missed anything!

Night veggers x

TooTicky · 25/01/2009 20:25

Hey Feather

TooTicky · 25/01/2009 20:26

SB, fruit spread is like jam but sweetened with fruit juice instead of sugar. Much nicer than jam.

TooTicky · 25/01/2009 20:27

Feather, you norty thing you

pinkspottywellies · 25/01/2009 20:31

TooTicky · 25/01/2009 20:31

I have poured boiling water on my hand twice this evening. Ffs. I think I'll go to bed.

TinyWhiteFeather · 25/01/2009 20:32

I am not really here....as I am 'working',....when I stop fannying around and actually get down to it. I have a restless feeling in me. Would normally go for a run to energise it but am trying to be 'good' about exercise, so if I come on again, throw pillows at me....

Piiiiiinnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!! big, squeezy (but not too squeezy, as you are 'with child') hugs xxxxxxx

OK, OK, I am going....

TooTicky · 25/01/2009 20:32

I am looking after a baby tomorrow, all day. I've not looked after a baby for ages, since dd2 was a baby, and it's a boy, they're different aren't they? Am vaguely nervous about nappies and food and milk and entertaining him. He's very nice though. He has a deep chuckle and is very edible.

SuperBunny · 25/01/2009 20:46

FK, my DS is a rooster too - and quite bossy!

TooT - will be thinking of you tomorrow. Feather, don't you have an appointment too?

Good night people.

SuperBunny · 25/01/2009 20:47

Boco, baby boys are fab! Just keep him covered up when you change his nappy so he doesn't wee in your face

HaggisNeepsandTatties · 25/01/2009 20:58

Yes, SB, I do, more test results and I am going to have a course of AB's to give my bod a bit of a chance but haven't beeen on them for years so...

It is earlyish tomorrow so I can get it over and done with.

Ooops I am not here....!!!

SuperBunny · 25/01/2009 21:15

Good luck tomorrow, Feather.

Hi Tattie. Everytime I see you, I think of carrot cake

I am a snake and I should get on well with my bossy little rooster. I am going to make an effort to be far more patient this week.

I am having a cooking day:

Mini 'meat'loaves, mash, sauteed green beans, mushroom gravy and sweet potato, possibly some peas too.

And later, will make:

'meat'balls & sauce and chili to put in freezer.
