For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Crackers?
Tortilla type wrap?
Mini pizza (homemade, natch )
Mini sausages/falafel
Quiche
Pitta

Dd2 is a fabulous eater, but doesn't really like sandwiches ecept peanut butter which isn't allowed. She adores cheese scones instead.
Also fruit rather than salad/carrots as easier to chew.

Happy Birthday tatties xxxxx

Boco - when I worked in preschool there ws a mum whose child used to poo on the way wthout fail - then she would 'dump' and run as it were...what a way to start every morning

Mind you we had rubber gloves which helped a bit. But not with the stench...

I still find green nose candles more loathsome than poo though!

littlerach · 26/01/2009 16:33

Molly, yes, at preschool there are so many children with green noses.
And when they sneeze and it goes everywhere....boak.

Anyone heard from TooT?

mollyroger · 26/01/2009 16:38

I texted her about an hour ago but she was n her way home with dc so couldn't reply at length.

FrayedKnot · 26/01/2009 16:41

Happy Birthday Tatties! Hope you are having a lovely day.

TooT?

I also want to know if the boy poo'ed.

Franny I keep meaning to say eggs to you. With apologies to the resident vegans. Instead of cheese.

FrayedKnot · 26/01/2009 16:43

Oh, swoon at your gym / spa place, Lully. My gym has a pool and steam room etc - 1970's tiling and pungent chlorine, that kind of thing

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 17:05

Feather was around late morning, Toot, if you scroll down.

How was your appointment?

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 17:40

she was not good after that

sod me i am fretting

SuperBunny · 26/01/2009 17:41

Lully, so good to see you. You're grandmother sounds wonderful and I hope she makes a speedy recovery. What an amazing lady. Todd sounds pretty good too How was DS's day at school?

lol @ Fran's DS1 wanting to sleep with common people

Boco, hope the boys poo thing is ok. FWIW, when I look after my friend's DD and she poos, both DS and I gag. But because she is a girl, I have to, um, scrape it out of the crevices [gag] Boys are much easier.

Well done on peas, TooT. We had them for lunch. How was the appointment?

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 17:45

sorry, lump just polyp, unusually eroded cervix, awaiting blood tests and colposcomy clinic, filled in depression questionnaire

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 17:46

oh and i need reading glasses and opotician thouight i was run down

Guadalupe · 26/01/2009 17:51

Well, sounds like you covered everything. Well done. Did they say they would use the colposcope to check the extent of the erosion? I don't know much about that or how they treat it. Do you feel better knowing it's that?

SuperBunny · 26/01/2009 17:52

Toot sounds like they were quite thorough. Hope you are ok xxx

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 17:53

don't know. hang on forgotten the question

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 17:55

apparently the erosion is unusual because it is going the other way or something, god my memory is shit

SuperBunny · 26/01/2009 17:57

I didn't know that cervixes could erode. Sounds uncomfortable. Is it a problem? I mean, is it something that happens to everyone or is it more serious than just having children & getting older

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 18:00

i's not actual, erosion it's the finer cells from further in being on the outer bit but i don't know what mine is if it's the other way arouind

Guadalupe · 26/01/2009 18:00

Have just looked it up a bit, not 'eroding' in a true sense but cells that should be elsewhere, ie uterus, can move down and then bleed more easily or something. It says it's very common and easily treated. Not sure about the other way bit but hopefully the clinic can tell you more.

And thank goodness lump is a polyp too. Must have been a tiring visit though. try and be nice to yourself this evening. Have some nice food and a drink and blanket etc.

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 18:01

god there is nothing to bloody well eat!

I am feeduiing my children crap [bad mother]

TooTicky · 26/01/2009 18:01
