For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I do bean salad with whatever I have, something oniony, something herby something olive/capery and maybe apple or celery, then dressing.

I had quick hot choc with Boco earlier and they were all vegan cakes, apricot slice, lemon drizzle, chocolate.

I would have sent some if I thought they'd survive postage. I have however sent the rasp boojas, though they won't leave till monday.

stuffitllama · 24/01/2009 18:32

hello

I want to know exactly whatt hey sent you fz - we share you see.

We went to london and met my sister and did natural history museum - highlihgt being sitting in the picinic area drinking coffee and talking to my sister whilst our children ran around in a deserted cloakroom.

I had a dream about boco. I dreamt that on wednesdays they make flapjack and then before (she made it clear that it was before) the children go to bed she drives out to a special shop and buys 10 marlboro menthol and then puts them in a jar on the top of the fridge and rations them through the week.

It is weird and a bit dull at the same time - but dreams do that don;t they.

BBBee · 24/01/2009 18:37

and at boco and guad

BBBee · 24/01/2009 18:42

oh and I am going dancing tonight with cocktails and dresses and shoes. I am excited.

BBBee · 24/01/2009 18:43

franny I am feeling your pain on this one - I really am. I am rubbish at cutting things out my diet adn the grainy chocolate post - well it hurt.

BBBee · 24/01/2009 18:44

I know - if you formula feed you can eat what you like.

(it is a joke - but there is no-one hear to scream)

FrannyandZooey · 24/01/2009 18:52

bee i can't tell you all of it [mysterious]
boco sent me something called the flying conchords

BBBee · 24/01/2009 18:59

good actuall and somewhat surprisingly. Am being very busy adn doing lots of rushing around which is probably not the best way to deal with stuff but very nice for me.

I feel fat in an apres christmas way- which is bad isn't it. I want to be lithe and bursting with energy, but at mo am only managing the bursting bit.

nice to be here - very retro and zen for me.

FrayedKnot · 24/01/2009 19:01

Pssst Franny!

Sainsbury's do a tasty bean salad

I am that kind of ill you get with no proper symptoms. Achey and v. tired. Have been to bed all afternoon.

BBBee please report back on cocktails and dancing tomorrow

FrannyandZooey · 24/01/2009 19:05

yes cocktails and being busy sounds extremely good!

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 24/01/2009 19:06

I know the grainy type that you mean. It does feel very worthy. The rasp ones do manage to be melting though. I promise.

Cocktails sound exciting, Bee! I haven't been out for ages. I was moaning this afternoon about not fitting in to any of my clothes and I want to go out this bonanafan swing night thing in a few weeks where people dress up. This time is called Shore leave and it's vintage 40's and the men [hopefully some] will wear sailor suits. Apparently it's a roight larf and I want to go and draw lines up my legs for stockings but I can't fit in any of my clothes.

Anyway, Boco's advice was not to worry about not drinking on a Saturday so now I have had three glasses but I will not drink in the week and run extra hard on monday.

[determined]

Boco · 24/01/2009 19:06

Have a good time tonight Bee. I very much enjoyed last nights wine bar, it's important to do things like that sometimes isn't it. Glad you're doing well.

Was lovely to see Guad, but I'm worried I was a sloppy influence and may have talked her out of good intentions in a very unhelpful way. It's because I'm a slattern with no will power.

FK hope you feel better soon.

Flight of the conchords is excellent, I really want you to like it Franny. I knew you'd like it Bee. I'm a bit in love with Brett, i think it's his beard.

FrannyandZooey · 24/01/2009 19:10

he looks very like your dp boco!
