For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 20:20

LOL @ 'even 100'. Someone said that on that AP thread too. They said something like 'this is a fantastic thread, thank you so much - even people like 100.' lolol

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 20:21

lol. . .lol . . .lol . . .

is my new posting style. I'm taking after 3andnomore and her chuckles.

See how easily influenced I am? Is because I am shy innit.

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 20:22

I think I have to go and have a lie-down. There's something in this celeriac, carrot glaze business. How does Guad manage this and yet remain so composed?

mollyroger · 23/01/2009 20:23

look, even stephen fry lols. On twitter. So if it's good enough for him...

mollyroger · 23/01/2009 20:25

And i see you are desperate for us to comment, properly, with due admiration, on your great list!

Truly, a tremendous meal...

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 20:25

Oh shucks, thanks.

I liked Bee's onion personally.

mollyroger · 23/01/2009 20:28

I her her three to day. I have barely scraped 2. Unless we may count lemongrass, ginger and chilli?

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 20:33

Oh yes, let's count them. [smugly generous]

Monday. We have practise packing tomorrow. And a trip to the sweetie shop. Erm which is also a health shop, right? With ah, sherbert granola bars and erm...lollies dried..fruit.
I have no idea whether everything will fit in his case anyway. We dragged out the giant rucksack from last time and realised the straps were all broken. So we have crappy pull along suitcase and tote bag. And it is full already just with the 4 bloody fleeces they recocmmend.
I just shan't bother packing underwear. Or tolietries. He won't bother anyway.

I am not composed. I am always blithering on about something. Your list sounds tremendous, 100, well done. I particularly like the sound of the creamy celeriac. I made celeriac and ginger soup yesterday but it was dull.

Is the garlic chicken Jamie Oliver? I am trying that tomorrow.

Franny, franny, franny. There is no need for choolate woe. I know all the good ones. I will send you some. I have butter and cheese now but I also can't drink milk after not having it for so long. It definitely tastes like a mouthful of fat globules suspended in an opaque fluid and once you read about pus, well, it sours mid gulp.

(SB, they do bp on arms)

TooTicky · 23/01/2009 21:04

sorry, am not commenting on anybody else. Am absorbing you all but my brain isn't working.

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 21:07

Hey TooT. I don't think they will do BP because it's not related to lump. I think if you like her you might want to mention cold fingers though, and anything else you felt comfortable saying. Think about it, that's all. You are being very brave.

TooTicky · 23/01/2009 21:12

Really? [hopeful]
I don't feel very brave. And I haven't actually turned up yet. Thank you for being kind. I might hug you.

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 21:14

Yeah. They will check on what you are going in for. I very rarely go to the doctor, and when I do they don't do BP or do sudden general check.

I'd like you to take advantage of this trip though, if you think you can. Talk to doctor. It's what they are there for.

ahundredtimes · 23/01/2009 21:15

Well I think you're being brave. You've made the first step - and that's usually the most difficult. The next ones are smaller as a rule. One at a time.

TooTicky · 23/01/2009 21:16

Why is Avi talking about pus just after Guad's soup? I am obviously not absorbing properly.
