For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Sounds like a nightmare Avi.

Congrats MrsC

TF, really? Also this evening it suddenly looked as if maybe that eye wasn't moving quite right.

So tomorrow we have to travel miles and I have to dehydrate and we have to sit around and wait ad tedium and be sent from dept to dept AND we have to meet my mother and I shall have to pretend that I am TOTALLY FINE. When I really don't feel it. Blah.

TooTicky · 13/01/2009 21:10

TooTicky · 13/01/2009 21:16

Franny, you are not allowed to say speccy twat or I shall have to speask to you as sternly as I spoke to ds1 earlier when he called somebody a geek just because they were wearing glasses.

FrannyandZooey · 13/01/2009 21:17

Yours sincerely,
A. Shortarse.

FrannyandZooey · 13/01/2009 21:21

moveit they had some soup cans and some marilyns - stunning! the colours - really vivid and clean, gorgeous
but hung so high up the wall you could not see properly - some rather dull drawings at eye level - disappointing
just too much going on in small gallery space - warhol needs BIG space - a factory in fact lol

3and i don't think warhol is high culture is he!

Toot...my ms is wearing glasses since last summer, and he now has to wear eyepatches for 1/2h to an hour a day...I was mortified at first...not because of him having to wear glasses, but because I never even knew he had anything wrong with one eye and he is pretty much nearly blind on that eye ...I mean, how rubbish am I...but he never had any problems, and was reading fine, his teacher never picked it up neither...
luckily he likes the glasses...the eyepatches, well...he likes the idea of them, but when he has to wear them he isn't quite as keen, iykwim...

at Franny

FrannyandZooey · 13/01/2009 21:22

OP posts:
FairLadyRantALot · 13/01/2009 21:22

well. Warhol is so artsy though, isn't he...I wouldn't really know, tbh....but going to an arts gallery and stuff...sounds cultured to me

FrannyandZooey · 13/01/2009 21:24

fairlady will his sight improve with use of patches? that must have been a shock not to realise there was a problem

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 13/01/2009 21:26

i get the speccy twat thing. i do the same with cunt but then have to go into self conscious middle class explanation so i sound like a right cunt.

lovely love to all and house / eye / baby / breast wishes to the lots of you!

FairLadyRantALot · 13/01/2009 21:40

lol at BBB and SB

Franny, well, the theory is that his "lazy" eye will be made to work harder...as his "good" eye is obviously doing an incredible job making up for the lazy eye...iykwim...I am sure they called it Stigmatism....but can't really remember...
Time will tell, I suppose , like I said, he isn't to bothered about wearing glasses and they suit him great...he has one of those faces where you don't really notice...if that makes sesne at all, they kinda just blend in!

FrannyandZooey · 13/01/2009 21:41

Astigmatism is when your eyeball is rugby ball shaped instead of round. I have this, it is of v little consequence these days.

I don't look like an alien.

Hi all, am hiding from my revision. I just can't get motivated in the subject that needs most time. Bah!

I am almost out of avoidance tactics.

Hope everyone is well.
