Should old tom-ay-toes be forgot and lemon brought to rind - 10/10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I've started a thread. Think I'm going to ask the midwife for an extra scan to make sure cause I'm fretting.

Right need to make lunches and go to bed before DH comes and starts snoring! I think that's why I had to get back up last night.

pinkspottywellies · 05/01/2009 21:17

We need to think of new thread title - we're over 900 posts! Something new yeary and fresh!

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 21:27

pink hope all well
i was told they usually move round, will check your thread

thanks for kind words about vinegar
trust me she was kind of floored and embarrassed by it rather than thinking what larks
i love her so much and would never want to play nasty trick on her!

Yes, think you should press for an extra scan Pink. Just to set your mind at rest.

and Franny - lololol. I love that story v. much - I'm afraid I love your mortification too. Also I love how everyone is reassuring you by saying 'oh but surely she thinks you are nuts anyway?' lolol. I reckon it was fine too - send her a card, say I love you so much, it was so awful, next time I am definitely testing all weird beans on dp. Will be fine.

Yes, you were v. funny in Madagascar 2. You made ds1 do weird choking, laughing thing with popcorn at one point Lemur.

Good. Hope all well. I am cupboard bound for a bit as of tomorrow.

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 21:35

yes agree with avi
me saying they move round was a bit dim, sorry, but ykwim

pinkspottywellies · 05/01/2009 21:36

Thanks avi. I googled first. I thought someone on here might be able to be more specific about measurements, which a couple of people have been on the thread. I will definitely raise it with the midwife next week and ask for another scan - I think 1.6cm sounds very close!

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 21:37

"I love how everyone is reassuring you by saying 'oh but surely she thinks you are nuts anyway?'"

rofl i had missed that nuance

ahundredtimes · 05/01/2009 21:38
Grin
pinkspottywellies · 05/01/2009 21:39

So, titles. Anyone?

ahundredtimes · 05/01/2009 21:39

It's quite vulgar that grin isn't it? I'm coming to quite like it.

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 21:41

avi - sorted

100 YES you are quite devastating now you have emoticon power

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 21:42

ahundredtimes · 05/01/2009 21:45

Oh god no, I do regret that title.

I am trying to think of vegetable puns on The Future's so bright, I've got to wear shades.

So far I've got

The falafal's so bright, I've got to wear maize.

ha ha ha.

Not quite right is it?

It's just so - well, keen and lascivious somehow. I had no idea.

(Can I have a free mobile phone pls?)

Stop baring yer teeth 100, you're scaring me

TinyWhiteFeather · 05/01/2009 21:49

SB...my meditation box is a box full of things which mean something (positive) to me so that I can take them out and find a plain of mental calm. Some people do it with a 'shrine', but I am quite private about my meditation, even within my family. It will aso be filled with tactile objects, letters, special momentos from certain times in my life.

Pink, like the others, I think you should do whatever it takes to bring you peace of mind, so if you can push for another scan do so.

Sorry the vinegar thing backfired Franny, I saw them on Graham Norton and they did it with vinegar. I'm sure she knows how lovely you are and it will be forgotten soon.

I got out for a run, dreadfully slow, but I find it funny that what is now slow for me is still faster than I could achieve 2 or 3 months ago.

Night for now, sleep well, and especially Pink, Take care of yourself...xx

ahundredtimes · 05/01/2009 21:51

lolol TF.

Somehow it's only me who has this effect upon this utterly cheerful, teeth-baring emoticon. When people do it to me, it makes me smile, I've never really tried it before. I like it keen, not cadaverous if you don't mind! God, I could have this effect upon all the emoticons. That'd be awful. It'd be like Strindberg emoticons. Mind you, wouldn't mind making suffer a little.

TigerFeet · 05/01/2009 21:52

I'm so sorry Franny but when I read your story I almost spat as far as your poor friend... If it were me I would have found the whole thing highly amusing and I would have spent the next several years reminding you at every available opportunity [evil]

Night night Mou x

ahundredtimes · 05/01/2009 21:56

Right, after that small emoticon essay, I must go and sort school stuff.

Hope everyone goes well - I'm off to the cupboard for a bit. Hope you sort stuff out TF and everyone else, or else just think well and clearly and honestly or failing that make lists.

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 21:57
