For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I thought you might say something like that Toot. (Hugs ).
But it was a crap an idea. They are so easy to have for other peoples children and problems.

SB at you not liking birds also!

Right dinner time.
Cucumber and cottage is nutritious and fulfilling isn't it?

TinyWhiteFeather · 05/01/2009 16:09

I suppose a cottage might be filling but cottage cheese not quite so much!

pinkspottywellies · 05/01/2009 16:12

We went to the farm park this morning. My friend took one look and me and asked if I was ok and did this She said I looked all puffy and I usually look so spritely

Had a great time in soft play there though. It's quite a big scary one and dd took herself off without me for the first time today. She's practically a grown up !

A friend of DH's has been caught out cheating by his boyfriend but it looks like the boyfriend has hijacked his facebook and is posting 'evidence' and making status updates about how he's cheating scum. It's all a bit grim. I want to message him and point out that he's making himself look worse than the cheating person but probably shouldn't get involved.

Er, coffee, porridge, sandwich, crisps. Not looking good. I've got carrot and lentil soup on the go though.

SuperBunny · 05/01/2009 16:12

But bats are mammals - soft, fluffy, intelligent, graceful. They don't walk around on manky scaly feet, heads bobbing, keeping a watchful evil eye on you.

SuperBunny · 05/01/2009 16:14

Not a good situation, Pink, Sorry.

Also, if a bat pooed on your head, you wouldn't notice. But bird poo is disgusting.

pinkspottywellies · 05/01/2009 16:18

Excellent news about the house by the way Guad.

In the half hour or so it took to type my last post you've chatted loads more

littlerach · 05/01/2009 16:19

I survived lunch at my friend's and feel so good for going.

Actually, these peppermint oil capsules are v v good, hardly any stomach gripe. Course it could be in my mind

My sister has a b**d phobia, and cannot walk through the town cewntre where she lives without a magazine over her head. And picnics are a no go when we are down there, unless we can hide!!

Scratch scratch with all the talk of nits.

Good news re house, Guad, what happens now? Are you moving in or doing it up? My friend has just bought a house and has been lucky enough to have a month overlap before moving in so has been able to rip most of it put and do it up.

Peppers-
stuffed with lots of other veg - onions, celery, tomato
More tomato
More peppers

IdrisTheDragon · 05/01/2009 16:33

I have read all this thread.

Sorry for all with angst. I am never goo dat saying the right things, but the intention is there.

My f&v consumption is too small. I will improve (could hardly get any worse).

Children have been being quite nice these holidays. Helps that we have been away a lot and so more people to share them with so to speak, but they have been playing nicely today as well . Not sure how we will adjust to school tomorrow - DS woke up at about 8:30 this morning and that's when we supposedly leave for school.

TooTicky · 05/01/2009 16:41

Idris, good to see you back.

Feather, you must have good teeth to eat cottages.

I have just nearly finished myself off doing things with washing in the garden. Had to keep stopping and waiting for my fingers to work again.

TinyWhiteFeather · 05/01/2009 16:44

Right that is it. I am appointing myself as the defender of our feathered FRIENDS. They are beautiful, graceful, full of character and they can fly! what is more admirable than that?

Oh don't tell me.

Scaly pah. Raspberries to the lot of you, birdists! (sticky out tongue emoticon!)

littlerach · 05/01/2009 16:45

Hello Idris, how are you

TooT, it is too cold ot hang washing, stay inside!

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 17:01

don't worry mou i like birds too
i once frightened 100 off MN by saying -

but no
i won't say it again

i do like it when you are here 100 and i missed it again
i think you should DEFINITELY do the seminar with the glasses and the bosom
i bet it would cheer Bee up
and i might learn something
I am always flabberghasted at what people put up with because you see i don't do the bending over backwards thing
i think i probably do bending over forwards

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 17:03

oh nits
well i would have said you can't go to school with nits and that is that
it is antisocial and minging
and no you can't nit comb your own hair properly, not if it is long
believe me i have tried [eyes to heaven emoticon]
and dp doesn't do it properly
but i have never called him a bitch

yet

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 17:04

oh AGAIN
someone with a poetic name joined (must scroll back or read properly) and 100 talked bollocks at her and frightened her off ROFL
come back poetic one

TooTicky · 05/01/2009 17:04

Franny, we need unbendy people to keep the rest of us in order. Or at least give us something to think about.

LR, the washing dries pretty well out there even in this weather, which is more than it would do inside. And it smells nice.

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 17:05

SONNET that was it
"Thanks for the welcome - I've got to dash off now"

ROFL nice one 100

TooTicky · 05/01/2009 17:06

Hers isn't long now.
But I did mine when it was long [smug]

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 17:10

well mine is longer than my arms
you can't do it properly when it's longer than your arms
no you can't

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2009 17:10

hold on that can't be right

well it's TOO long anyway

littlerach · 05/01/2009 17:17

I do mine bending over the bath.

School tomorrow - am bit happy as dd2 will be full itme and i iwll be ablwe ot work without looking after her too. But, I will miss our long mornings and all.

TinyWhiteFeather · 05/01/2009 17:20

My hair appears to be too short for nits {grin].
Or I am too dirty....

SuperBunny · 05/01/2009 17:36

TFW, you may be pleased to know that DS and I went to the allotment to fill up the b*rd feeders. So, I don't hate them. I just hate them being near me and looking at me.

I have never had nits. My sister used to gett them. I must be a filthy bugger. Speaking of which, why is Franny bending over?

Pomegranate (disappointing)
Kiwi (DS has realised, 'there is wee in kiwi: kee wee. See?')
Banana
mushrooms
mango
juice

TinyWhiteFeather · 05/01/2009 17:37

Everybody has come home and moaned from the minute they walked in.

And asked me why I have gone quiet.

I wasn't planning on going for a run tonight as I am supposed to be cutting down a bit but my sanity may depend on it. Lol.

I have bought a can of diet coke to put in my meditation box. Lololol!!!![very naughty emoticon]

TooTicky · 05/01/2009 17:41
TinyWhiteFeather · 05/01/2009 17:42

SB, OK you have redeemed yourself.

Eeeehh! lets go and be dirty buggers in the pit. I have never had them.

Lol at DS.
