For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

I'm good thanks Tatties. Starting to look like a weeble

stuffitllama · 14/11/2008 19:45

Hi all, hello Tatties, am inhaling the stroking and energy vibes being passed around

Have done very silly thing, fallen asleep with the children and now up with red eyes unable to sleep

Have drunk a lot of orange juice and not had any supper except for garlic aubergine. About to make two cups of tea and eat huge fruit salad sitting in fridge for weekend.

My new favourite veg is ladyfingers/okra, it's fantastic spiced up. It's really common in local markets, and I don't think I ate it in Belgium, or even ever.

TooTicky · 14/11/2008 19:50

fmv, perhaps I have always misunderstood the things Do you not have to carefully eat the juicy bit but not the hard bit in the middle?

Pink, if we havenb't tidied then that is inconsiderate. Would not dare tell her how bad it usually is.

Blah. Am sick sick sick of picking up stuff from floor. Also sick of washing up and cooking and drying clothes and all the other things which take all my time but don't actually improve anything.
I want a break but I can't see it happening for a few years yet.

TooTicky · 14/11/2008 19:51

Oh hello Stuffit

Sorry for moaning

TooTicky · 14/11/2008 19:52

Falling asleep with the children is brilliant provided you don't have to get up again.

pinkspottywellies · 14/11/2008 19:58
pinkspottywellies · 14/11/2008 19:59

Go to bed Stuffit!! You'll soon drop off. Do you mean walking the dog? Or just shoving him out the door?

TooTicky · 14/11/2008 20:07

Dusting? What's that?

stuffitllama · 14/11/2008 20:12

I can't go to sleep I turned the computer on

just put the dog out, she poos in the house overnight so we have to buy her a kennel, she's a nice dog but pooing is a bit much

pinkspottywellies · 14/11/2008 20:12

don't know TooT, I read a fly-lady thread one (thought it was about going on hols) and it was mentioned. Just thought I'd try and sound knowledgeable

stuffitllama · 14/11/2008 20:13

Pink, what is with the weeble and the bleurgh? Don't fret.

I hear you can google dusting. Something you do if you have allergies I think.

TooTicky · 14/11/2008 20:14

Stuffit, I find Pathwords and Scramble on FB strangely addictive. Challenge me to a game and I'll come and whup you later

Pink

stuffitllama · 14/11/2008 20:19

aargh you temptress

You've got me at a weak moment. I just did the disney quiz because one of my friends did .. the shame.. I would have got 100 pc but was too embarrassed to submit as then everyone would see that I did it.

On the other hand whupping AND stroking -- an irresistable combination.

pinkspottywellies · 14/11/2008 20:19

Did you know I'm up the duff stuffit? 26 weeks tomorrow and quite small compared to most others but don't like it. Not one of these 'love being pg' types. Just feel all the wrong shape. And fat. And bleurgh.

stuffitllama · 14/11/2008 20:19

is it irresistible? tell me what you think before I google and check

TooTicky · 14/11/2008 20:21

Stuffit

Oh poor you Pink. I adored being pregnant, apart from the tiredness and the iffy hips

stuffitllama · 14/11/2008 20:22

oh pink, if I did, or should have, or if I congratulated you before, I'm sorry

yams for brains here

six months.. so due in January or February? yes..yes.. it's all coming back to me .. I'm sorry.. but winter babies are marvellous I think

stuffitllama · 14/11/2008 20:24

it IS irresistible by the way
I'm just too far away from my education these days

Boco · 14/11/2008 20:42

Hello. I just had a big fruit salad and felt I must share that fact here. Dp won a fruit hamper in a raffle that he didn't enter - is a mystery. It appeared on his desk and no one knows what the raffle was. Ah well, nice fruit.

Lovely pictures of ds2 Franny, love the orange cardigan.

Art RCA Secret show tomorrow but just made final decision not to go, which is fine. Still, quite exciting reading about it all.

foxinsocks · 14/11/2008 20:47

What is this secret show I know nothing of ? Am in central London tomorrow so please tell me if it is just a little bit unsecret enough that I can go and see it?

Boco · 14/11/2008 20:53

Fox i started this thread trying to get people to come and artist spot with me

about the exhibition

Yes, it's open to the public - people camp out all night to get to buy one. Is at the RCA.

foxinsocks · 14/11/2008 20:57

ooooooooh how exciting. Your postcards are going to be purchased oooooh!

foxinsocks · 14/11/2008 20:59

omg there are loads lol

Boco · 14/11/2008 21:04

Yes - couple of thousand! Yes they will but the money goes to RCA. I'll tell you which they are if you email.

pinkspottywellies · 14/11/2008 21:11

TooT I haven't got any wordgames on FB any more. Can you invite me onto a good one pls?

Thanks stuffit. I tend not to have much to say about it! But yes, due end of Feb and think he'll be late.
