For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

how is everyone?

why have loads of people left?

isn't autumn beautiful!

FrayedKnot · 25/10/2008 13:43

Hello

Guad that is very annoying indeed. Are you 1/2 term next week?

TooT hope DS2 has a lovely party with teh biscuits and cake and mud

LMD jazz up the black dress. And pout your feet up this afternoon

I am doing chores todat, but tomorrow we are off to Sussex for a couple of days.

Salad and satsumas.

Hi BBBee!

FrightKnot · 25/10/2008 13:47

Ahh, that's better

not sure why I said "pout" your feet up LMD

BBBeeast · 25/10/2008 13:55

it was a freudian slip because deep down you are a sultry harlot. I bet you are pouting now.

disgusting.

Ghouladalupe · 25/10/2008 13:59

Arse indeed, OB, but there is a slight reprieve. After a long phone conversation he has arranged to go for just tomorrow though he will have to spend most of today on the phone now. I think it may have had something to do with my reaction.

So, no nice walk, no lazy lunch tomorrow and no meeting friends tomorrow evening but I can at least go to the book launch tonight.

It is half term next week, Fk. Dh will be working most of it, culmination or launch of the last two months project. Thank fuck. Should settle down after that. Then we only have to buy and renovate the house!

I like you

Ghouladalupe · 25/10/2008 14:00

LOL, ds2 just pressed post, I was about to say I like your halloween name, Fk, but I do like you too.

BBBeeast · 25/10/2008 14:48

I like you and ds!

LittleMyDancingWithTheDevil · 25/10/2008 17:09

well, I did have to go shopping as needed tights (legs are not fit for display today, really not!) to go with black dress, and then it turned out DP needed a bow tie, and we needed a new undersheet for the bed as DS weed all over ours (I've been meaning to get a spare anyway, for wee/milk accidents either with DS or with new baby!) and of course the birthday boy for tonight has to have a present.....sigh.

Glad I didn't have to look for dresses as well though, Cabot Circus was rammed so I got everything really quickly and ran home again.

Did 'accidentally' buy a new pair of brown boots, not sure how that happened

two tangerines
chicken and veg soup (canned )
um, that's it so far.

Must do better!

OsmosisBanana - I'm in Westbury Park, not St Andrews, but close!

LittleMyDancingWithTheDevil · 25/10/2008 17:10

oooo, maybe the boots was my feet pouting?!

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 25/10/2008 17:32

Hello gorgeous pouting veggers.

Considering we had DirtyBurger King for lunch (as part of friend's child's birthday thing) I have done ok for F&V. Plums, banana, OJ, apples and grapes and we are having a sheherd's pie for dinner which has more veg than meat in

for any newbies, tis me - fmf. I have 2 posting names because I am special....

OsmosisBOOnana · 25/10/2008 17:48

I am bad. I have been spending.

I have a pair of light grey satin wedge peep toe stilettos with a dusky pink tie at the front from Kurt Geiger

and some other things....

Ghouladalupe · 25/10/2008 17:50

Ooooh, they sound nice!

Fmv - What did you eat? Spill..

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 25/10/2008 17:51

dirty great whopper with cheese. And fries. With OJ {Virtuous]
And chocolate cake smuggled in...

Ghouladalupe · 25/10/2008 17:58

Mmmmm, that sounds quite tasty, but it's the pit for you.

We have salmon for dinner but I can't be arsed to cook it as I ate so many crisps earlier.

I don't even feel like going out now but dh will go beserk so I better make a token appearance!

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 25/10/2008 18:01

where you going?

hmmm. The Pit And the Pendulum...hoorah!

Ghouladalupe · 25/10/2008 18:07

I am going to the book launch of a friend from my MA. It is part of the new writing festival that is going on at the moment, there have been events all over the place. There will be some interesting readers there and some old friends but it is the other side of town and it's cold and I have my slippers on.

pinkspottywellies · 25/10/2008 18:58

I hate going out when I'm all snug in my slippers! You'll be fine when you get there MrsC.

I don't believe you had that BK FMF. We all know you don't actually eat food at your weight

FrightKnot · 25/10/2008 19:52

I like you too Guad

And everyone else of course

Am juts planning our mini-break

It is going to rain

Am googling organic cafes and finding nice snug pubs with open fires

And packing lots of toys for DS

pinkspottywellies · 25/10/2008 20:38

Some of my ebay stuff is finishing soon!! It's exciting and going ok so far! I think I'll pout a lot when the fees come out. Never mind! Better than standing in a cold field doing a car boot!

Just had strawberry ice cream. Want more rubbish. I'm going to have a rhubarb yoghurt and see if that sorts out the junk cravings!

FrightKnot · 25/10/2008 20:44

OsBa...

Cheryl's on

Pink...but there are strawberries in there somewhere, no?

And rhubarb...welll....rhubarb...

(Can you just imagine me saying that in the manner of Maureen Lipman saying

"You got an OLOGY")

berolina · 25/10/2008 20:48

You'll like it once you're out, Guad. I have a fairly rare urge to go out tonight and of course I am not.

Various duckponds and playgrounds and the shops to buy stuff for making Christmas cards. Discovered a new (to us) tiny playground behind local church. ds1 played while I stood (ds2 in sling) and listened to faint sound of run-through for organ concert and got wistful about needing to do more music. Kindergarten mum from yesterday does music. I would love to join a choir but rehearsals would be a problem - I have my power yoga and can't justify 2 evenings out a week.

Glorious, lovely, delicious pumpkin, potato and coriander soup.

TooTIfYouAreScared · 25/10/2008 22:03

V. good party, lots of mud. Tired now.

LittleMy, yes, I am TooTicky.
I have friends in Westbury Park.

Guad, hope you have a good evening.

OB, are you all better now?

Fumf, are you sure your father is your father?

Bero, your soup sounds glorious.

Pink, good luck with your ebay.

FK, where are you going?

Ooh, Bee, hello!

Right, must sleep!

berolina · 25/10/2008 23:54

Oh TooT I am glad it went well. You are lovely. And I am rather useless.

Must go to bed - was banking on an extra hour's sleep but the children won't sleep an hour longer, will they An extra hour to get things done, though - vital.

hammouhouseofhorror · 26/10/2008 03:41

Hope you had a fab day Toot...bet it was great.
Autumn is breathtaking BBB....brilliant running season, and cycling. (sighs with contentment).
Friday's stomach problems were the starting symptoms of a mindblowing migraine nightmare. We went shopping. Ds and H had a major row in shopping cenrt, so stress made it worse. Now I feel dreadfull, like a major hangover, but I don't drink.
whispers into quietness of yurt....I hate weekends.
And now I can't sleep.

Have a lovely time in sussex FK.

Gosh, can I be a sultry harlot too?, it sounds like fun (I love the film Secretary..does that qualify me or just make me strange?)

OOOhh, Osba, shoes sound nice...I'm a boots girl myself.

Was conned into buying a nail kit by a salesman in the shopping centre but have never quite enjoyed parting with my money... the 'young' man will go a long way...told me I looked 30 (I'm 39, rofl ) He asked me how old I thought he was..I said he was about early thirties and he was 23!!!

Nails are fabulous though..money well spent.

Finally managed to download music onto my new phone, so not all bad.

Hardly ate due to migraine so
Pear,
juice,
Small portion veg filled casserole.

Happy sunday to you all...

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 26/10/2008 10:06

morning.Bit blurry after late night session with Big Bro. He is an even bigger music anorak than me so we were fighting over the ybe tube. We want to go and do autumnal outoddy things, but weather is not playing.
