For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Bero xxxxxxxxxxx

Lionheart - lovely to see you

Boco, "waking up to swallow" - that is SO evocative!! Poor you, I hope you feel miraculously better tomorrow.

I have just crocheted dd1 a pair of spiderwebby hand thingummies. Considerring the yarn was too thick, they worked quite well.

LittleRach, Farleigh Hungerford is EH. Also Old Wardour (of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves fame) but a little further afield. Nothing else very local, except the Tithe Barn at B-o-A and Nunney Castle near Frome which are free entry anyway.

FK - I'm off to look at your thread.

I made a gorgeous squash and lentil soup today.

I only managed a manky old pumpkin drawn on orange material and sewn onto black tabbard

Ghouladalupe · 31/10/2008 19:56

I have green ahnds and a wart on my nose and my very chancy holding up an empty glass and saying adults takes top-ups have resulted in a very good yield and I am pissed.

Kids have tons of sweets too and I am amazed at the artisticness of the pumpkin carving around, there were some marvellous ones.

Now we are home with our pumpkin on the recycling box and no-one is knocking. I don't want leftover sweets.

hammouhouseofhorror · 31/10/2008 20:07

Can't tell you are pished from your post Guad.

FrightKnot · 31/10/2008 20:16

Hello - gald everyone is having Hallowe'en fun.

I have made a note Guad for next year.

Actually we have been very unhallowe'eny here - someohow not really got organized for it, and DS isn;t really aware of it yet.

Have a pumpkin but uncarved as it came in Veg box and I didn;t get home 'til 6.

Not sure what to do with it now!

Boco hope throat is getting better. Tonsillitis is horrid.

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 31/10/2008 20:29
