For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Hope Guad is okay.

Boco, your drawing is fabulous, I really think you need to promote youself more.

Dd1 and i have been ot see HSM 3 in a very nice little independant cinema. It was even licenced

TooT, wasn't the hail terrible? It looked like it had been snowing here. We finally put the heating on properly yesterday. I was trying (in my mind) to hold out til November, but it became too much.

Leek and potato soup for lunch, nice and warmning. I'm sure there have been other F&V but can't remember

Hello everyone. Work this morning, kindergarten mum from last week was here with her dds this afternoon. ds1 was whiny and mostly unsociable, her dd announced fairly soon that she wanted to go home. Things improved when we all went out to the playground. ds1 and her dd are very fab together. I think she (the mum) likes me. She gave me a spontaneous hug when we said goodbye.

ds1 and I sang 'Lavender's Blue' (the full version where exploited peasants dream of being top of the pile and ordering others around) and did dance steps at the 'dilly dilly' bits all the way home. I am over embarrassment t being stared at, usually, seeing as I can't speak to dses in public without being stared at.

Very difficult evening. ds2 incredibly discontented and wriggly. Have had to explain periods to ds1.

Apple pear various veg more apple clementine.

Hello everyone

I've not read much but hope Guad & family are OK

Have just got back from Sussex - we left in the abysmal weather on Sunday and nearly cried all day at the horribleness of it all, then woke on Monday morning to beautiful blue skies, which is how it has been ever since

On Monday we paid a visit to a small zoo / park / kids attraction type place where we were fleeced out of what seemed like a month's wages, but DS enjoyed it

Today a bit more laid back witha walk through a country park to a splendid beach with magnificent chalk cliffs. Very uplifting.

DH and I are considering leaving the rat race and opening a bookshop in some small village on the coast somehwere

OsmosisBOOnana · 28/10/2008 20:19

Ha! I always had you down as a Tamsin Greig type FK! That's a compliment btw...

It is a bitch the no kitchen thing, but has to be done. At least this way I get to have exactly the size, shape, colour, techno etc kitchen I want even if it takes for ever. We are completely gutting the place, tomorrow I have to remove more tiles, and then the layer of plaster that seems to be under it half way down the wall to get back to the main wall. I am becoming a DIY fiend. Only if it involves smashing, pulling, ripping etc. Anything that requires finesse is a no-no.

Not that I'm avoiding my uni work you understand...

I loved your pic of LL Boco- I have not one arty bone in my body

hammouhouseofhorror · 28/10/2008 20:26

fab drawing Boco..(pinches a piece of Boco's courgette cake whilst she is enjoying thoroughly desereved praise!)

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 28/10/2008 20:44

oh Fk, that is my fantasy, with a little teashop attatched

Boco, am of you seeing Guad so regularly...my ds1 misses her ds1 and my ds2 is in love with her dd and I am in love with her ds2....

Bero, sounds lovely - it's great when one finds a new pal, isn't it?

I have been spending the day with a MNetter too. Went for lunch and crawled home at 6 with a sleepover child due at 7pm.

They are sociably listening to their respective mp3s and doing that shouty thing you do when listening to music with earphones And demanding hot chocolate and toast.

You'd have been proud of me, Humph put on a fab spread for lunch and I consumed a massive pile of celery, carrot sticks, tomatoes, cucumber and baby spinach and crisps and donuts.
Bloody chilly here tonight. I'm planning early night, pint of tea and a book.

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 28/10/2008 20:49

oh and peas, onion, parsnip, mushroom, broccoli and carrots for dinner. I reckon that's a 10!

poor Guad and family, hope ok

Bero, Kindergarten mum sounds lovely, if she's hugging you she certainly did want to be your friend

Boco, what lovely drawing

Oooo, whiny periods that sounds like a bad evening!

FMF & FK - I want a book shop too

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 28/10/2008 21:03

OMG that looks awful!!!

OsmosisBOOnana · 28/10/2008 21:10

hey I tried to soften the blow with informing you of my real age.

It'll be shit....

TooTIfYouAreScared · 28/10/2008 21:39

OB, you are a nutter.

LittleRach - yes! I went out a couple of hours after the hail and it was all still there in the grass
No heating here [hardcore][nearly empty oil tank]

L&R I managed to lure you back for a quick visit then.

Bero - your friend sounds lovely. So do you. Well, you are.
Periods have to be explained in several stages. When they are 2 or 3 they take it all in their stride but forget quickly so you have to explain later. The oilder they are, the more horrified they are

Boco, I do love your picture. It is so happy and cosy

filthymindedSixSixSixen · 28/10/2008 21:39

Wow! Boco just scored an illustrating gig with MNHQ !

TooTIfYouAreScared · 28/10/2008 21:41

Oh heck, hope Guad is home and warm now!!

FK - sounds like a lovely break.

TooTIfYouAreScared · 28/10/2008 21:41

Yes is ok, Guad is home with wine and chips, poor thing.

TooTIfYouAreScared · 28/10/2008 21:47

When you're all rich and famous, will yiou remember us?

Thank goodness Guad is home - is too cold to be out!

hammouhouseofhorror · 28/10/2008 22:05

Starts a mexican wave in the yurt for Boco .

Poor guad, must have been frightening.
