For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

lol, was too slow at typing for that one...

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 21:03

Okay. I think it sounds good. My friend went to one who was a bit shouty. It wasn't over the telephone though. And she kept saying 'you're stuck! you're stuck!'. Friend a bit surprised. Perhaps it was Franny's sister?

I have to go. STOP CHANGING THE PLANS. I HAVE BOOKED US INTO THE LITTLE CHEF OUTSIDE CARDIFF.

For some reason, friday nights have become Ovaltine nights. This means Ovaltine in bed. Which is odd because nobody really seems to like Ovaltine, but they like it on Fridays in bed. So there we go.

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 21:04

my sister not shouty
is nice actually, not much like me at all

Oddly enough I have eaten in a Little Chef just outside Cardiff. iirc it was near Monmouth [bored]

Are we staying in a Travelodge [excited]

Travelodges always have a clean bathroom [lies]

Friday night is wine night in the Feet household.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 21:11

comiserations TF

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 21:13

Franny loves a Travel lodge. And no, it's a DAY TRIP.

TF - Ovaltine is for the dcs. not us!

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 21:13

have you eaten those 'vegetables' OB?

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 21:14

OB don't listen to her. Her dp came on once and told us how she eats huge fat chips covered in cheese. It's all bluster.

Right. Must go. Night all.

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 21:14

yes i do love a travelodge
you calling me cheap now?

OP posts:
OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 21:14

a day trip? But we'll be all fractious (Sp bad sorry) and waiting for people to pick us up in the dark and someone will forget (prob my DH) and I'll have to stay with someone.

You don't want that.

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 21:15

I get the insomnia every year around oct to march - am sure it is seasonal. It is irritating and tiring but not OMG AWFUL.

I qm confused about the life coach and the rude rhymes. She is definaltey an amateur boco.

clear out the cupboard
you silly stupid cow

now now now

if I phone next week

i'll come and smack
your stupid lazy bum

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 21:16

I have. Ran out of dijon half way through, which is the only way to uh garnish the veg. Displeasing.

Now feel weirdly full / still starving. Maybe some fish fingers-- line caught, ethically sourced monkfish.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 21:17

mondo bizzarro Bbbeee. To quote Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

BBBee · 05/09/2008 21:19

what are you studying OB?

TigerFeet · 05/09/2008 21:19

Oh yes. It will be like returning from an extended school trip. Everyone will be covered in sticky substnces and will have secretly drunk cider at the back of the bus. Far better to break the journey at a nice clean Travelodge, imvho. One that does a nice breakfast of soggy toast and vile sausages.

I made home-made oven vegetables yesterday. Sprinkled with chilli flakes. Yum.

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 21:20

FrayedKnot · 05/09/2008 21:20

Come on Franny, join in

"And he ain;t gonna jump no mo-o-o-re"

Would you believe I have not been swigging the vodka carrot juice from my hip flask?

No really, no alcohol, and defnitely no marmite.

Dr said yes definitely thrush.

I have probiotics, but not sure how good because they were from chemist which has small selection, not HF shop, and the usual pessaries etc. Last time I had a bad attack pessaries were no use whatsoever, so I stopped bothering. We'll see.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 21:21

need to get rid of cytitis fast. Have managed to hold DH off so far but fear spray tan and bikini may be too much for his feeble mind. Hand rubbing on the horizon. MAybe if i eat enough oven veg he'll go off the idea.

My contact lenses keep falling out of my eyes.

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 21:22

oh all right

i'm on the bus
i'm eating my sandwiches

TigerFeet · 05/09/2008 21:22

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 21:23
