We had peaches, we had plums, we had strawberries in the sun, but the peaches and the plums, like the strawberries are all gone - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

are we all drunk?

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 20:36

Vlarian was shit, made me woozy and have visions of a sombre nature.

Boco · 05/09/2008 20:37

That's rubbish Bee, is it all the time? Only ever had insomnia with noisy neighbours or when I was taking the pill, for some reason that made me a bit angry and sleepless. Seems a bit odd to give you prozac without trying anything else first.

100x yes first episode was like another language, but my brother was there to translate, but watching 13 episodes in 3 days you pick it up, now i'm fluent west baltimore baby. Got 3 series' to watch, and the 4th on it's way. [ignores life coaches phone calls]

MimsieNet · 05/09/2008 20:37

not yet OB my friend, but I'm working on it...

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 20:39

Right, off to watch episode four. I think she reveals her force field.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:39

Yay! Am on 3rd G&T.

No-one gave me a firm response on my oven chips as vegetables query? Tell me yes before Franny turns up and beats me with an aubergine

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 20:39

Always anxiety related with me, swoops down and then leaves. Never very serious or long-lasting though. It's the price I pay for repressing everything.

Boco - get BBee to come back.

Oh yes, I would have needed a translator. I was quite mesmerized by it, hooked and I didn't understand a word they were saying. I want to watch more, but am worried about the slightly obsessional habit that happened with Series One.
When do we get to discuss the life coach? I think it sounds fab.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:41

I'm on holiday! I forgot!

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 20:42

having people talk about me as if I am nasty teacher does not make me feel especially welcome on the thread tbh

and you;'ve all buggered off on a bus

OP posts:
OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:45

cripes. sorry.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 20:45

Who talked to you like you were a nasty teacher?

Anyway, there was shuffling at the steps, and Lupe moaning about tea and then I got worried about Bee so I think we're a bit delayed. Besides TooT's got in a muddle with the keys.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:45

guessing the oven chips are off then?

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 20:46

Oh.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:46

it was me. as always.

Boco · 05/09/2008 20:46

Bbee come back!

Didn't you love Lester Freamon 100? I've been trying to persuade dp to make dolls house furniture while sitting bored at his desk at work, and be generally more zen and wise and natural POH-lice. He won't though.

Life coach - it was strange, has come out of the blue, offered and accepted the same day, will start on 21st september, an hour telephone coaching every 2 weeks for 6 sessions. She called, sounded nice, talked about empowerment and moving forwards and the importance of any movement, even if it's not in the right direction, it'll trigger other things etc, and about how I'd be doing all the work and I'd need goals and actions and commitment. That bit scared me. Hoping it'll be useful in deciding what to do next. It would be nice to decide, I'm changing my mind daily atm.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 20:47

lol. What did you say? Were there rude rhymes?

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:48

I'm intrigued by the idea of doing it over the phone. I think it would work well. Easy to be more honest on the phone sometimes. When you don't have to do eye contact and feet shuffling.

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 20:48

a bus! I ask you
if you were all going to disappear you could have at least used the helicopter

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 20:48

That was to OB, not you Boco. I did not imagine that you shouted rude rhymes down the phone to life coach.

Yes, sounds good to me. Sounds great actually.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 20:49

Well Fra you wouldn't believe the moaning. Out of the goodness of my heart etc etc etc and welsh castles too. Ingrates, the lot of them.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:49

No. I was hoping for recognition of oven chips whilst Franny wasn't looking. There may have been talk of beating with an aubergine. I thought it might lure her out of lurking but actually I just ended up being annoying. AGAIN.

FGS someone take me outside and have a word.

MimsieNet · 05/09/2008 20:50

what rude rhymes, how, eh?

Franny We have saved you space. You can have the recliner seat (next to the hot drink dispenser)

Have a werthers, my lovely.
do you want a lend of my People's Friend?

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:50

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 20:51

oh is impossble with one handed wriggly baby typing
by time I manage to type something you are all talking about something else
