For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Omar is excellent. 'In-deed'.
Oh good other fans! I'm becoming quite obsessed, with all of them, it's so brilliantly written isn't it.

BBBee · 05/09/2008 19:53

glad swimming was good boco - i thought about it all the way back from the cobblers in the rain.

don;t do that wire gun talking thing whough.

I have radio four on "it is hard to resist a man with a stonking erection" - it is not even 8 o'clock.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 19:53

Avi, I'm curious. What is the population of Avi Island? Can you say without giving it away?

BBBee · 05/09/2008 19:55

(ignore the cobblers bit - it was longer with a point and then i cut it and then it didn't make sense)

MimsieNet · 05/09/2008 19:55

don't ever attempt to read this thread backwards. Is very random and confusing.

one son has a welsh name. Does that count? And I have been there often....

must go and cook some food. Morrocan style chicken (with peppers, courgettes, chickpeas, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and apricots)
Why, with my lunchtime pea soup and watermelon, I do believe that's a 10!

But I'm edfinitely having wne tonight.

Little rach, I love that Boden coat. I was saving up for it, but I don't think I can justify the cost. Ever

BBBeee - was just thinking the same thing about tv channel 4. program about marriage, turned on just when they were talking about how essential a part of marriage swinging is. Must have missed something there.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 20:03

I think it is very impressive Boco that you knew it was well-written. I mean, I know it is, but I couldn't understand what they were saying most of the time. Though it didn't matter. I've only watched Series One.

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 20:04

I have never watched The Wire. I might try it, if only to have a go at making tiffin.

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 20:05

I bought some tiffin the other day but it was duff.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:08

yes, not a massive fan. My friend has a food blog (she good) and goes on and on about tiffin and thinks she cracked the ultimate recipe.

Meh.

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 20:09

Er, thanks Avi

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 20:11

Meh. Exactly. I was thinking crispy biscuit chocolate but no, slightly grainy soft chocolate flavoured brick. Covered in cranberries. No thankyou.

BBBee · 05/09/2008 20:12

boco must have a good recipe because sha made it and ate it ALL.

I went to the doctor today about my sleep disturbance and she offered me prozac!

FrayedKnot · 05/09/2008 20:12

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:14

clamber on. I'm in the back going through the alphabet thinking of swear words for each letter

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 20:14

Did she say anything helpful, Bee?

Hop on FK. I don't know either of those songs

MimsieNet · 05/09/2008 20:15

SB - but 145,000 of those residents are probably seagulls

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 20:15

Of course you are, FK!

Bbbee - I went to the doctors with IBS and they offered me prozac.

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:16

psst - whilst Franny isn't here - tell me oven chips are vegetables

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 20:16

DH has just pointed out that he hasn't had any of the prossecco and it's gone. Why am I such a pisshead?

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 20:17

i wish someone would offer me prozac. All I get is a shrug and some steroid cream. I don't need steroid cream. Are they slipping me something secretly?
